Yes, both Chris and I have full time jobs in essentially unrelated areas but I like to solve problems and if others can benefit from those solutions then (hopefully) everyone is happy. PM me if you don't hear anything back from Chris.
Sorry about that, I'll look into it - this should not be the case but with all the to-ing and fro-ing on tariffs over there it has really messed up the ordering processes.
@OxygenMask, Great work right there!
There are many things to consider when designing a "kit" to do what you have done. When we developed our kit (Digital-Twin Developments) we looked not only at how we wanted to use our truck but also at how others wanted to use them. It was much easier to...
I think the photo of the 5g Ranger is confusing... I saw the picture and read your first sentence and thought "Hold-on, the PX (5g) Raptor was never sold in the US!".... Just saying.
Surely there is no risk of this landing on North American soil. This is what Australia and the rest of the world get instead of the Taco. It is no Taco, it is just a face-lifted HiLux on the old HiLux platform.
HiLux's are very popular in Aus. but they have been surpassed by the Ranger and...
Sorry I wasn't following your posts - which cover is that?
I use the same seal kit as @jacksdad is using ^^^ and it works a treat.
But full disclosure: I am the one who designed it so of course I'm going to say that.
@jacksdad pleased to see it is working well for you.
That reminds me, I really should have reported back on what I found.
I did end up paying for 72 hours of the online Motorcraft manual. Rather than try to manually download and print to PDF, I went with this solution https://github.com/iamtheyammer/fetch-ford-service-manuals.git which I can...
I have wondered the same thing... I am keen to try it next time I head off-road as the way the TPMS works thus far when operating at reduced tyre pressures is nothing short of infuriating. Resetting your pressures results in no low pressure warnings for about 5 seconds before the stupid low...
3.0L Diesel yes, 3.0L Petrol no.
The 3.0L diesel is universally liked though. Plenty of punch and smooth (for a diesel). They are the "Lion V6" which has its origins in the mid 2000's and used by Land Rover and Renault and also used for a while in the F150 (I believe). In the Land Rovers they...
Ford Everests are on Australian roads as thick as the hairs on a cat's back. They are basically a shortened Ranger with SUV body and coil rear (though different to the Raptor coil set up). Definitely not a Bronco Sport 🤮.
I hope you guys get them in NA as they are a pretty good thing.
In my diggings into ForScan I seem to remember seeing something that might enable you to change the enable speed. However I can't remember where it was and I have not tried it.
I'm sorry I can't help any more than that but I would say that it is worth your while poking around a bit in the...
Please correct me if I'm wrong but done correctly, perch collars do nothing to change the amount of travel of the shock and therefore wheel articulation.
Done incorrectly, they force the spring to fully compress and go solid before the internal bump stop compresses. In this situation they...
Hmmm...
I was under the impression they ran 295/70R17 tyres and only had minimal offset (like +35 down from +55 for the stock wheels). Also, I thought (on the initial Baja anyhow) they ran standard suspension.
My impression came from something Justin Capicchiano posted on a Face Book group...
Yes, I have all that and making those changes to ADB doesn't affect any of it.
And critically, the changes don't fix the issues around activation of the auxiliary circuits (aux 5 / 6 - upfitter switches - whatever you want to call them).
Changing everything (in SCCM and IPC) over to ADB from GFHB seems to only make the white auto high beam symbol on the dash turn green and stops the blue high beam tell tale from illuminating. Other than that it doesn't do anything.
I don't know what flipping them AHB does as I wasn't...
Well done, sealing the bed is definitely an issue...
I covered the Swiss cheese bed caps using gaffer tape (100mph tape - whatever you want to call it).
Then I added a foam rubber seal around the bottom edge of the plastic cap to reduce dust getting in as much as possible - I do use the post...
