I never got to hear the in's and out's of how the dealership network works. They just told me they wanted $7,500 ADM for Tundra's and $5,000 for Tacoma's and 2+ year wait list for an order when I asked if I could order for MSRP. If it was a lie from a dealership color me shocked.
Toyota gets out of selling custom orders in Las Vegas area by telling all customers there is a 2+ year wait list for an order. I have no evidence for this but I suspect the wait list is simply a device to scare people away and/or kick the can down the road until the buyer becomes impatient and...
The Ranger announcement was pushed back to May 26 and production to August 7 or something like that...
I chalk it up to this; Ford doesn't need the Ranger to be a success. They are kicking the can down the road until the electric trucks are what they need to sell us on. There's a Bronco...
My guess was $10k below the Bronco Raptor which would put it about $65k MSRP before options and *cough* markup.
So yeah they will end up being $80-90k trucks when the stealership is done putting sharpie on the window sticker.
Hats off to the confirmed MSRP orders.

It's interesting to me what the purpose could be as I see all above scenarios as possible... 1) When I google images of "Ford Test Mule." I can't find any examples of this sticker being used in the past. 2) When I look up "Prius Prime Test Mule" or test mule of another known plug-in hybrid from...
@Apples I agree with you that the perception I have gotten from Farley and recent press is that their interest as a company will be in full BEV vehicles and not PHEV vehicles.
From what I understand the new electric platform for trucks is "TE1" and that is it. So we need to imagine all of the...
And don't bet me wrong - I'd prefer a PHEV option before a BEV option as well. I was just commenting that this research group seems to be implicating that Ford is going 100% BEV focused in 2030+
Yes, true. Without seeing the report in full it's hard to draw any conclusions. Hopefully the company announces their plans for the hybrid Bronco soon!
This forecast group seems to take Ford's investment in battery production to indicate they're all-in with full battery electric. It seems to me - I could be mistaken - that all of the Ranger Hybrid / PHEV rumors seem to originate both from the fact that Jim Hackett said in a shareholder meeting...
