One more question, if there has not been a software update, how likely is it to re-occur? ie what situation(s) seem to be the precursor and how likely are they to occur. And do you know if it has happened much in other Fords?
mObridge that's the best (and only) explanation I've heard. Thank you very much. I'll look into whether or not Ford have a software update. Hard to know though as I can't seem to get a straight answer from Ford.
Hi Peterou812
I was interested in the model specs to know if your variant has the B&O speakers. I'm not sure? Mine has the B&O speakers and they seem to be a common thread among hundreds of cases reported in the USA (F-150).
The F150 Forum was my saviour, as it was the only way I learnt you...
Tried soft and hard reset - did nothing. The only thing that made the loud static noise stop in my Ford Everest was getting out, locking doors, wait 2 mins, get back in.
Does anyone think it could be related to a bad ACM?
Ford USA seem to be replacing some ACMs. But Ford Australia have no idea...
Hi has anyone else had this issue? It is widely reported on the F150 forums. Neither Ford nor the dealer have a fix.
It has caused me ear damage and I fear driving the vehicle.
These are the circumstances that lead to the fault.
