  1. If you're leaning Colorado, consider this.

I ended saying to heck with all of this. The fuel economy, the prices, for a truck with interior room that hasn't improved and capability that hasn't improved either. I crossed the Colorado, Taco, and Ranger all off the list and went the opposite direction. Bought a nice used F-250 for $43k...
  2. 2024 Ranger Raptor ADM Market Adjustment Price = CRAZY

Maybe it's different where you live. In Kentucky you can't swing a dead cat without hitting new construction right now. Houses, stores, shopping centers, etc.
  3. 2024 Ranger Raptor ADM Market Adjustment Price = CRAZY

You don't think that in another 18 months we'll see the new Rangers all over the roads? I'll take that bet. We've been hearing that a recession is coming since 2021. Yet, people are buying and selling like mad, traffic volumes are up, general construction is up, and the economy is flowing...
  4. 2024 Ranger Raptor ADM Market Adjustment Price = CRAZY

The way I see it: Would you rather pay an additional $5,000 over sticker now and enjoy the truck now, or would you rather wait 12-18 months and get the same truck for $5,000 under sticker? That's a $10k swing which is the difference between being upside down in the purchase or having positive...
  5. Next Gen Ranger Raptor Diff Issues??

These are the same Dana AdvanTek axles that Jeep has been using since 2018, correct? Jeep has had issues with the axles in Rubicons also. Dana tried to squeeze another 0.003 miles per gallon by using lower friction ball bearings in the pinion, smaller ring gear, different fluid, and some other...
  6. Shelter Green Metallic opinions?

Oh, THAT color. IMO that's the ugliest color ever used on a Ford truck since Harvest Gold. That color looks like gold and brown had a baby, and I hate gold and brown. This isn't 1974. Yuck.
  7. Shelter Green Metallic opinions?

Twenty five posts and not one picture of the color in discussion? lol
  8. Report: 2024 Ranger Job 1 Production Set to Begin August 7 (Again)

Ranger sales were down 40% last year, and the new truck they've been showing off all over social media for months now only has 1,500 orders in the bank nationwide? Ouch. It's like I said in another thread, despite guys disagreeing with me, Ford is terrified of changing the looks on their...
  9. MSRP is a pipe dream…

Yeah, if people would just stop with the "I gotta' have it NOW!" attitude in our society we wouldn't end up with these ADMs and gouging. It's the consumer that allows it. I personally think it's incredibly stupid. People are going to pay $10k, $20k, etc. mark-up on a midsize pickup truck...
  10. Bulletin: 2024 Ranger Production Delayed to September (9/1/23)

Don't be sad. There are midsize trucks that are objectively better on sale in the U.S. as of today. If Ford won't come through for people then buy elsewhere if you need a truck. I tried to buy a 2022 Ranger but refused to pay $41k bucks for a decade-old design. So I'm waiting to see these...
  11. 2024 Ranger Body Builders Layout Guide – Confirms Tremor and 2.7L Engine

This is a very cool post. Excellent information that will be used for lots of purposes.
  12. Ford Motor Company Here

So what you're saying is that Ford should be OK with their truck being at the bottom of the barrel? The Ranger is outsold by every single midsize truck on the market except the Ridgeline which isn't even a truck. And they should be content with that? Well, they're going to continue to be...
  13. Ford Motor Company Here

I agree with all of this. I'll add: for the love of God stop being afraid to change the body design. Midsize truck buyers are typically your lifestyle people who fish, hunt, camp, off-road, and generally just have fun. We want a truck that looks the part. GM did it with the new twins...
  14. 2024 Ranger & Ranger Raptor Build & Price Configurator Is Live!

$47k for XLT with spray-in, tech+towing, auto climate, and keyless touch pad? Ouch.
  15. Ford Missed The Boat

Exactly. When the "new" Ranger showed up in the U.S. it was already 7 years old elsewhere. So they make us wait several years to see the next new Ranger, and when it debuts it still looks like a 10 year old truck? WTH is going on at Ford? It feels like Ford is terrified of change. Let's be...
  16. If you're leaning Colorado, consider this.

Exactly, I was just talking about in terms of MPG. People think smaller engine equals less fuel used and that is simply not true.
  17. If you're leaning Colorado, consider this.

What do you expect from an engine making over 400 lb/ft of torque? Power requires a lot of air, and a lot of air requires a lot of fuel. Displacement means nothing. It's all about how much power an engine is making.
  18. If you're leaning Colorado, consider this.

To be fair, NONE of the small turbo engines are good for fuel economy. See Ford's multiple EcoBoost lawsuits for evidence.
  19. What transmission?

Engineer said 10R60 in a TFL video I watched. I was surprised they used the lightest duty trans of the bunch for a truck with a 7,500 lb. tow rating. Even the little Mustang pony car gets a better trans.
  20. Competition: 2024 Tacoma Revealed!

True, but let's say the top trim level with all the things in that list I posted comes in at $59k.....are you still buying a Ranger anyway? I'm guessing most people are not. And as someone who had a 2022 new-gen Frontier, I don't see ANY similarity whatsoever between this new Tacoma and the...
