1. Removal of the Auto/Stop Start button in favor of a Rear Locker button.
2. Configurable touch screen - more options like hiding the HVAC items for more screen real estate.

** Disclaimer I am not an expert but Gemini AI says the following **
Replacing your stock non-FX4 shocks with the FX4-spec shocks is not only "probably ok"—it is a direct, compatible bolt-on swap. Since both versions of the Ford Ranger share the same chassis and suspension geometry, the...
According to Google Gemini AI,
While both the standard and FX4 models share the same basic suspension geometry, the differences in the shocks come down to valving and rear shock architecture.

The most significant hardware difference is in the rear...
Honestly, I think Ford is missing a great opportunity. Instead of focusing on 100k+ F150s, they should probably promote lower cost option Rangers as well in North America. Bring the Super Duty Ranger to NA and even some Kei Trucks (made by Ford). Expand the roster. People love options and...
My OEM tires are fine at the moment and are holding up. Just looking ahead to what is next and I think Id like to keep my wheels from the BAP. I like a nice aggressive looking tire but also I don't want a heavy MPG hog of a tire either. Kind of like the Goldilocks of AT tires.
To keep this thread going, thinking about BF Goodrich Trail Terrains (seen many of these on Tacos over the years) or maybe Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail.
I wouldn't say 'never' leaving city streets but rarely. Like the look of an AT tire but don't need a more rugged more heavy tire. Think of a percentage of 20% or less off-road.
Gravel may be the biggest thing a 'soft roader' may encounter.
I do like bigger beefier tires, lifts, etc. however I live just outside of Philly. Too many trips in the city and using parking garages, streets, suburbs, etc.
Right now it's much more of a city truck driving around crappy NE winter weather.
I agree. I don't really love the OEM tires. They are like driving on pillows.
I used to have KO2s on a Jeep years back and it was a bit overkill for my daily driving including a large MPG hit.
Perhaps there is a good way to bridge the gap.
The other day, I began to think about future tires for my 2025 Ranger XLT with BAP which I use as my daily.
Without changing out the shiny OEM black wheels and tire size (255/65/18) what would be good for a "Soft Roader"?

XLT here.
I considered the Lariat however I have lost interest in 'leather' seats especially for a truck. I understand that this is not a high end luxury vehicle.
The cloth seats are perfectly fine, like a warm hug. And they are heated which typically wasn't an option so many years ago.
I use a bottle of Chevron Techron every oil change. I use the 20oz. bottle based on the tank size.
Does it work? I can't tell but I feel my engine runs like a bat out of hell (placebo affect).
My main concern is there is not many top tier fuel gas stations nearby and I have had clogged fuel...
According the Google Gemini AI - This is recommended for a 2.7 Ford Ranger - probably wise to save some money for around 80-100k for a wet belt replacement.

If I didn't think I would need to tow a boat I would have no problems getting a Maverick. I especially like that the newer models fixed up their center display.
Everything you say is true. The reason I bring up Honda is because they have attempted a merger with Nissan in 2025 but it fallen through Now I have heard Nissan is looking to "partner" with another automaker with their body on frame trucks. Honda or maybe Volkswagen?
Here is an article.
