  1. Competition: 2024 Tacoma Revealed!

I've had good/bad experience from both Reliable Nissan and Melloy Nissan on Lomas. Overall I prefer Melloy. To be honest, Albuquerque is not a great city to get deals on trucks. I've had to buy in Arizona a few times to get a good deal. My approach is to find the best deal online first...
  2. Competition: 2024 Tacoma Revealed!

Then Ford will need to change their sales model. As it is the average price of F-150's are averaging over 60K on the lots with little discounts. With the higher bank rates and tighter guildlines the inventories are swelling to over 100 days at many dealers. The amount of decent trade in's has...
  3. Competition: 2024 Tacoma Revealed!

Post was directed at Fattirz. I was only offering other options that would offer more capability for his needs and at price points that might be same or lower. Really was not directed at yourself. As for telling others what to post and what not to that is pretty funny. Typical fanboy...
  4. Competition: 2024 Tacoma Revealed!

Can't say I didn't tell you so. This is exactly what I said would happen last year on this forum and nobody believed me. Now that Toyota and GM dropped their LWB trims there will be no way it will be offered by Ford. Leaving only the Frontier to offer it. But your wait was not in vain...
  5. Is it finally happening? 2024 Ranger making NA debut in May

Issues with the new V6 with misfiring and vibrations. Display screen having issues and many other electrical issues. Its no mystery that Ford in general is a mess as far as quality. In the US they spent over 2 billion in recalls and fixing issues in 2022 alone. Like I said Jim Farley even...
  6. Is it finally happening? 2024 Ranger making NA debut in May

Well if CEO Jim Farley has his way the inventories won't return. As he has said Ford wants to control levels to insure higher margins/profits. Mainly because the pandemic showed them they can make bank selling fewer cars. I do know that Ford prefers an ordering system over Trucks on the Lots...
  7. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro Teaser Confirms i-Force Max Hybrid Powertrain + Coil Spring Rear Suspension

Listening to new owners on the Colorado forum with their new 3rd gens. Pretty nice package but its looking like those dismal EPA ratings for MPG's are coming true. I would not expect much more then 18 MPG's. Toyota's hybrid 2.4T combo should have no problem beating that by 5 MPG's. But what...
  8. Order a New Ranger at 3% Under Invoice

Invoice does not mean dealer cost. I know I've seen plenty of RST chevies with the 5.3 or the 3.0 duramax for up to 7 thousand off down in Arizona. With high interests rates, repos up, and massive capacities at GM/Ford (talking over half million trucks/year for both), your talking inventories...
  9. Another 2024 XLT Ranger Spotted, with bash plate

I really wanted to like this upcoming gen as I really loved my 2014. But it had the 3.2 turbo diesel which was kind of special. Had none of that DEF crap. If I buy one I would replace that grill first thing. The front end is borderline ugly IMO. And yes this picture looks different then...
  10. Another 2024 XLT Ranger Spotted, with bash plate

I wish I could agree with you. But the 6th gen just looks ugly to me. I've always liked the first T6 before the first refresh around 2015 best. That is the global version as the US spec was also ugly for me. I owned a 2014 in the Fiji Islands. Miss that truck. I think GM did allot better...
  11. North American 2024 Ranger spied!

Ford has already said there will not be a supercrew with long bed. In fact, they are also going to drop the supercab option. The new generation is a bit longer wheelbase and a tad wider from what I have read. Ford said they will increase the bed size but don't expect more then a few inches...
  12. 2022-2023 Ranger Raptor World Premiere! Wallpapers, Video & Specs

Yes the folding seats was a huge design flaw on the first gen. That really needed fixing. This looks very promising but unfortunately, will be priced too high for me. I can see this going North of 60K USD and probably getting 5K-10K over MSRP (Addendum). Even new Colorado ZR 2's are over 50K...
  13. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

For me, I know what Australia gets will be vastly superior to the NA version. After all, this is their baby. They designed it. We already know they will offer a MT option. 3 diesel options. And most likely a better suspension that does not wobble all over the place. After the disaster of...
  14. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

Not interested in the 2.3 because its only DI. The 2.7 has dual injectors. Plus IMO, will have more power/torque and won't have to be in boost near as much. Starting to lean towards the 2.7 F-150 for other reasons as well. But if they the 2.7 into the Ranger it might sweeten the deal. But I...
  15. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

Well the only example we had was the baby duramax on the Colorado which has ended production. IMO, the only good Colorado ever made because it also came with the bullet proof GM 6 speed. Its hard to say if it had poor sales because it was always very limited production in the states. When I...
  16. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

Makes sense since they modifiied the frame to except the V6 3 liter diesel overseas. I know some are worried they won't offer the 2.7 in the lower trims but since GM will most likely use their 2.7 as their base and only engine offer on the next Colorado that would put Ford out to pasture for...
  17. 2.7L engine on 6th gen 2023 Ranger?

That was a really interesting write up. A little while back I went to Rich Ford here in Albuquerque and they only had one XLT ranger that had just come in. I was not interested in that and the sales guys said I can order one and it will arrive in a month (which I knew is complete crap). But...
  18. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

With my driving habits it would be optimal for build up. I work 4 miles away. Lots of short runs. I did not know the 2.7 had dual injection. Another reason Ford needs to put that in the Ranger.
  19. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

On Fords build site I tricked out a XLT 4X4 with 10 grand worth of options for just over 50K. And unlike the Ranger you can put the B&O sound system on the XLT. With the Ranger you can only add that to the top lariat trim. I know people are paying 50K for the new frontier P4X with addendums...
  20. All-New 2023 Ford Ranger (XL, XLS, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak) Global Reveal!

You got me thinking. One can buy a F150 STX 4X4 Supercab with the 2.7 for around 43K. The back seat is still about as roomy as a ranger and you got a 6.5 foot box. Never really considered a full size but it always seems the mid sizers are intentionally compromised.
