Be cautious, they had the same sort of program for the 2019 only it was $750.
I had the paper work in writing and approved, when the truck was delivered, Ford decided to renege. I also know of other buyers who suffered the same fate.
Fortunately, I had a signed contract with a handwritten and...
Actually no.... Ford reneged and my dealer wanted to add the cost back on to my contract , but I had added a "balance due at delivery" note to the bottom of contract and the dealer had signed it.
The dealer actually ate the cost.
Whether they eventually collected from Ford, I was never told.
Be sure to add a hand written note to your purchase contract and have the dealer sign it.
Ford attempted to renege on my similar incentive on my 2019. They had to honor mine, but
others that I know were cheated out of it at delivery.
I see you have decided to carry on just as suggested. Well I didn't really mean it.
I was only responding, in kind, to your previous "pontificating" remark. ;)
So ... further elucidation will not be necessary, nor appreciated.
Thank you so much for your efforts to this point.
Here's hoping...
As a rule no money changes hands for the first 90 days, so the company carries the vehicle on the lot during that time, and the vehicle is often sold in the interim. Some might see that as a distinction without a difference.... Technically the first "owner" is the retail buyer after a title has...
With the used car market what it now is and the fact that most new car buyers already own a serviceable vehicle, there is no real need for regulation to prevent gouging.
First of all the gougers are already active robbers in violation of their contracts with Ford.
In most cases they are selling...
Negotiated pricing is the true test of "Supply and Demand"
When a customer says "how much you want? I'll pay it" its easy to predict the result.
Still, if you get a critical mass of that type of customer, it will raise the net price.
I will never buy from a fixed price dealer (think Trabant)...
Your heart is in the right place
The way I see it, if a person continues to borrow more than really necessary, he won't stay "younger" but he will keep struggling.;)
Good advice isn't the same as condescension and a little restraint is better than none.
"Suggested" also implies that you can negotiate the price to your advantage... so it works both ways.
Nobody can screw you over on a car deal (except you :giggle:)
Its really not either one. You don't think so either, or you would not have seen self restraint as righteousness.... self or otherwise.
Fact is, the foolishness of our neighbors does affect each of us in negative ways. ;)
With all due respect, people who pay over list are the ones incapable of showing restraint.
I have never paid even close to MSRP and never will, but those without financial discipline are making that more difficult every year. Wait until you have saved the CASH to buy a new vehicle and see if...
I've been buying Rangers for over 35 years, the Ranger has consistently been better than its competition by every objective parameter... price, build quality, capability, and reliability.
better even in those subjective aspects, such as style, comfort, and pride of ownership.
There are, of...
I am sorry for your consternation.
As you already know, the Ranger 5G was built from the ground up as a 4WD.
It is a lot more than just a transfer case and an extra differential, it is perhaps the most capable and well thought out mid sized, general use 4wd pickup available in the world.
It has...
Perhaps my attentions have been on more important issues of late.
The salient point of my post is that Ford is acting as a sychophantic "useful idiot" to an incompetent renegade gov't/bureaucracy at the direct expense of their customer base, both in terms of dollars and liberty.
Otherwise they...
