I have not, but I did put on a Yakima hold up with a hitch extender. Both are on sale right now. Got it set up so that I can still put the tailgate down.
The quality control stuff has been common on this forum. I’d be mad about the extra 5k though and tell them to kick rocks. I’d keep driving the maverick and find another dealership for a 2025 RR personally.
There is easily 6-10 months of rust on these parts. And the rest of the truck is so clean you can eat off of it. Logic says that the drive shaft was installed after those parts alone sat outside.
The problem is NOT the trucks being driven through salt or sitting in lots. The problem is that the axles and drive shaft are sitting in the elements BEFORE they are installed at MAP. Every other component underneath is brand new, except the surface rust on those two parts.
I’d rather have them too. Let us know if your dealer ends up offering them for free. I was told that, without a pic of the bed topper, ford would charge the dealer back for the warranty work.
Yes. He looked into the specific FSA you posted. If your dealer looks into it deeper, it will show that the parts are included in the bed topper kit, and you’ll get a $169 refund for installation. However, you must get a ford brand topper. Nothing else qualifies. It is a bummer.
