Sensor only had one issue and it was after driving in very cold weather with snow/salty roads. Poured a little cold water and got the salt/grime residue off and no problems since. For others, I think it software that faults the driver' side sensor address. Sensor operation in cold weather could...
Good luck with your quest for a '25. If you don't want to wait, I've been seeing some new RR 2024's in Wisconsin, Mn, and Iowa for less than MSRP. Who know what may happen to the price "surcharge" for '25's if tariffs get added - the Ranger only has 8% US/Canadian parts content.
Places like...
Initially got 4 coats of ceramic pro 9H over my PPF clear wrap. I think others have suggested some other good ceramic coatings. After curing, they said to try to avoid auto touch or touchless washes and the self-service wand-type soap or wax application because it has harsh higher-PH chemicals...
Congrats. I am happy with my blue RR. Just over 10K miles on it.
Seeing some '24's on some sites at or less than MSRP, example is a Wisconsin dealer selling below MSRP and another slightly used for around $53K.
Insurance replacement cost at a collision repair shop can cost almost $2K for one. Somebody is making money quoting that. And it can take many weeks to get the part. Maybe put up on an online auto site like ebay or? Some are going to get dinged-up and need replacement. Seeing some 2025 VINs...
Correct, but I'm seeing some remaining 2024 RR's in and around my state with some discounts to the MSRP. Not end of model year discounts, but they are trying to move them.
I have both PPF and multi-coat ceramic and plan annual maintenance by the installer and would do it again. I would at least consider PPF on front and fender sides/rockers and part of hood where chips tend to happen.
I wash less with ceramic, but it is more difficult in winter because I avoid...
I needed a new driver's side running board and rear wheel plastic fender flare, both got dinged by another driver. The one running board took 3 weeks to get. The fender flare initially had no parts availability and no ETA. It finally showed up at the collision repair shop 6 weeks later.
Note...
There is a TSB for this issue. I happen to like that I can easily see the number of "hours", not just the odometer on Trip 1. It currently shows the number of hours the vehicle has been run since it left the assembly line. I know a service tech can look this up if service is being done, but I...
Few issues so far with my RR but I'm very happy I bought it. Looking into possibly flipping for a '25, knowing I will lose a bit of $. Will mention again if I get a local allocation, now that I know how to search (from last spring).
Trip 1 odometer won't reset. Shows miles and hours since it...
I had to replace the driver-side running board on my RR. It cost $2K, which insurance paid for. The other driver that did the damage - their insurance co accepted fault and they paid my $500 deductible.
I had ceramic pro applied over PPF. 4 coats of 9H + on wheels and plastic. I was told two-bucket method with lower-pH foaming soap recommended by ceramic pro and avoid harsh auto car washes, if possible. Will bring it in for the maintenance they recommend, though many people could just do that...
Local custom/aftermarket shop didn't get their ride there. They ordered a RR specifically to work on for Sema, but like so many, it took sooooo long to get. Would have liked to see the moon roof.
There was mention of similar on the 5G forum, but some had foam "inside" the cab at vent(s). Some blocked theirs. Others thought the vents would help with buffeting by relieving pressure (pos or neg). Still another was worried about mice, so they blocked it.
My only concern is that if part of...
The 5G thread I linked (first post) does mention some rattling/clicking in one post and even has a video/audio. Is it anything like this? Strange that the dealer could not replicate it.
Good luck. The next post mentioned it may be in stage of early failure.
There were comments on 5G forum here HVAC 'clicking' normal or not? | 2019+ Ford Ranger and Raptor Forum (5th Generation) - Ranger5G.com
Some mentioned actuator clicking at the end of its travel, blend door issues, etc. (I'm worse than being no mechanic, so not much help).
Here is one post...
Vinyl Sometimes does a lot of different kinds of the FP GN XX decals. But the stripes and Raptor decal are separate items.

Even with the full factory Raptor decals, there is room for the FP decal. Just send them a note with what you want in bottom corner...
