Fun fact, the bolt that comes with the Baja Designs Squadron light fits there perfectly. I mounted a single Squadron there for a rear light. It hasn't budged over past several months, but I have it zip tied for back up.
I had a similar deal with ordering some 703s for my R and came with some rings. When I questioned them they said they were for meant for a Chevy pickup and ignore them. Odd.
For what it's worth, I have a set of Method Ford Performance 703 and a set of Method 316 for my winter tires. The FP are hub centric, but the 316 direct from Method are "lug centric". I can't tell a difference between the two sets. This is from the Method rep, just passing along, feel free to...
Looks Awesome! How do you like that shop? I'm always on the look out for a good local performance shop, and haven't found much outside of 4wheelparts. They look like they do a lot of Yodas, but assuming they will do other makes then? Did you take your past raptors there?
F'ing hilarious. It drives me nuts seeing tundras, tacomas, and 4runners with 'Raptor' lights. Gen1 Raptor required to have them for DOT, the aggressive look popularized them, and every non-Raptor started adding them.
I held off as long as I could not adding them to the RR, but I did cave...
I bought mine before mid September so I did get the J Braces and had them installed. You would want the bed reinforced to support the weight of the cover and anything you plan to put on it.
I own all three so this was a fun video to watch. They all have their pros and areas they excel in. I daily drive the RR and I gotta say I love driving it as much as the R. Both are different and fun in their own way. You can't beat the value of the RR being sub $60K.
That's a very clean looking cover, I like it! I had a truck covers usa retractable cover on my Gen2 and loved it. Opted to try out the DB this time so I could stack extra gear on top and strap down.
The front of the cover is flush with the outer edge of the bulkhead weather strip that you have to add. Might be about to shift it back a half inch.
I'd say there is about a 1.5" of overhang on the tailgate.
