Closing the loop, the dealer had the truck for a few hours, they extracted the broken bolt under warranty, put in a new one. Also they scheduled uber pickups both ways for pickup/dropoff which was convenient (would've cost about $75 total).

That color really pops! curious your thoughts on switching from Raptor for lariat for daily driver. Seems like the mileage wouldn’t be too far off as you put in AT tires, lifted it, and will tune it. Do you miss 4A at all? Does it ride harsher in rear with leafs?

I don't but may consider if extraction of the snapped bolt is tougher then expected. I just ordered the bolt myself for $7. In case this happens to anyone else down the road, part is 2024-2025 Ford Ranger Tailgate Lift Support Stud N1WZ-26404A42-A.

I wasn’t removing bolt. It snapped when I opened the tailgate during normal use.

anyone else had the bolt holding strut to tailgate snap in half? Is this something you think ford covers under warranty? It seems strut is fine, but I’ll need to try to extract bolt and get replacement. Any tips appreciated on exact bolt or removal. 2024 Ranger (raptor), 15k miles.

I just used forscan to get this on my NA Raptor. SO far, it seems to only show all 4 wheels in motion when it's in awd, and rear only in 2wd. Maybe i need to be on highway but i'm expecting behavior as you noted, meaning in 4A it usually shows rear wheels getting power, unless you accelerator...

I have an oxford white 24 RR, owned for 18 months and a big YES to paint chips. I just filled 5 different ones with a touchup pen, on hood, near headlights, and near taillights on both fender and tailgate side. Quite a bit compared to all previous vehicles i've owned.

Personally think the 4A and engine make RR worth it even if you don't plan to use the off-road stuff. Especially as a loaded lariat with upgraded engine isn't even much cheaper than a RR. My garage is a Ranger Raptor, a 2009 mustang Bullitt, and a 2.0 bronco sport badlands. All complement...

As someone who has a bullitt Mustang, is250, and a RR (in addition to wife’s SUV), I say keep all! Plus, RR has been great with carrying around two kids/car seats.

Mine has no bolt. Apr 24 build. My part number on nearby label matches OP, ends in KC. The other poster with bolt it ends in TB.
