Awesome pictures and explanations.
I have one of these for my fridge currently. I plan on adding another with the second level to hold more gear. I’m definitely going to follow your mounting procedure to secure them down better.
Yeah I'm thinking a single bolt to hold a bracket that can rest on the fuse panel. I rarely use the compressor but when I need it I want it haha. I could have used it the other day when I got a nail in my tire.
I had the single installed in my Maverick and it was definitely convenient to have...
I have a single ARB air compressor I am trying to fit under the hood. I might try and make a mounting bracket to go over the fuse panel on the driver side near the brake reservoir.
It was a productive weekend for my truck. On Friday I was able to get all four doors sound deadened and install my amber DRL's. Then on Monday I did the roof sound deadening, got my rear dash cam wiring ran and my yellow chase lights wired.
Overall the sound deadening install was simple. The...
The truck had it's third oil change yesterday. I used the vacuum extractor through the dipstick tube again. It works great. I got almost 7 quarts out of the engine with this method and didn't need to go under the truck.
The spin on oil filter adapter is a breeze as well. I put some air into the...
It's the 50%. The inside leg is shorter than the outside to accommodate the floor hump. It's a nice piece. A full rear platform would give more room but it's nice having the third seat when needed.
Last night I put the new third brake light housing in. They give you rivnuts and new bolts to hold the housing on. You need to remove he factory plastic screw clips, drill the hole out and install the rivnut. It was my first time using a rivnut tool and it's very simple.
Overall the install was...
Oh wow. I ordered mine from a Canadian truck upfitter company. The CAD conversion saved me a few bucks. I won’t know how much shipping from Canada to the US will be until it arrives but it shouldn’t be more than 500 bucks.
My Thrustworks brake light housing was delivered yesterday. Quality is great and the Baja S2 lights fit perfect. I did email them asking about the install since no instructions were included.
The wiring harness provided looks nice but I'll probably end up making my own with Deutsch connectors.
My friend and I installed the Kuat Ibex on my truck this weekend. Install was simple and the quality of everything is really nice. I only have one bike rack for now. I might add a second if I really like the setup. I'll get some more pictures soon and with a bike on it.
These are my previous vehicles. I was a Subaru guy at the start and then went to Honda and now Ford. My 2005 WRX was my baby and I did all the mods I could to it. I put over 250K miles on it. The 92 Legacy was the old man sleeper car I wanted to build but never really pursued it. The 2005 STI...
Looks good. I have the BAK Revolver X4TS on my truck. I ordered the Kuat Ibex rack last week with t slot adapter. I think it will bolt right up. I'll definitely take pictures when I install it.
I did this at first and it didn't work. I think after the second time and letting the truck sit it worked.
Yup. I did that when it first froze and it didn't fix it.
My phone is not updated. It keeps asking me but I say no lol. I guess it's time to update it.
I waited to make this until it happened a few times. My Apple Carplay will sometimes not connect and even after a phone restart, radio reset and truck restart. It happens randomly and usually at the most inconvenient time.
I need to let the truck sit off for a little bit and then magically it...
