Why???? Downloaded both my 2024 Ranger Owners & Maintinance Manuals from Ford July 2024. One at home on my laptop and one in my pocket on my cell. Just courious..... Didn't opt for the full repair manual, but if you want one here is where you can get one...
  2. 24 Lariat 2.7 Steering getting tight

Since there is no hydraulic power steering pump, this is most likely an issue with the power steering control module (PSCM). It can be heat sensitive so it might start acting up after about 15 minutes. Remember, this is the 2.7L engine and it takes up a lot more room in the engine compartment...
  3. What is your Insurance Coverage & Cost?

Here in southern michigan it is $2009 Annual for my 24' Ranger Lariat. Multi car discount, $500K liability, $250 Comp Deductible and $500 Collision.
  4. Latest recall 2025 XLT.

Think the reverse. Yes a short in a Body Wire can affect the Control Body Module. Fluctuating current, voltage and electrical spikes can damage or disrupt programming of the BCM
  5. 24 Lariat 2.7 Steering getting tight

Have the same ranger but not noticed it yet. Look and see if your 4 wheel lock light (low center of your dash) is lit when it happens. Did it to me a couple of times. Also the light on console. I never touched the button or dial.
  6. Hood Struts from Redline

Redline also on my 24 Ranger Lariat 2.7. Houcat is correct - but I did put a towel around the open area and it saved me twice during installation from having to dismantle the fender to Fisn out a part.
  7. New Graphic

    FREEOM? HUH?
  8. Automatic windows activated (not done by me)

I highly recommend downloading your owners manual to your computer or cell phone from the Ford website. Whenever I run into an issue, I do a search and it usually shows up. The info about Global Window Operation in the 2024 Lariat manual is right after the lighting section. Dont have the 25...
  9. Sealing gaps at the front of the bed?

...and with a little bit of patience, this kit will fill some of the oval holes as well. Did mine. Used Tennis balls for the big front holes. So far so good - Only leakage comes from the damn Retrax Retractable Tonneau. Most expensive piece of Sh-- I ever bought!
  10. Bed Cover

i Is this the cover made by Leer for Ford?
  11. 2025 Ranger Sales Volume

The 2025 YOY increase is not surprising considering the R6 wasnt introduced into the US market until 2024. They didn't release the Lariat 2.7 until late Q3 or early Q4. No matter - it was bound to take off. Great product! Love my Lariat 2.7. Too bad they started stripping some of the options in...
  12. Airbag recall fix didn’t go well (wait if you can)

Took mine in for the recall. Dont know who the tech was but they really f- ed it up! When i picked it up I was in a hurry to get to a business appointment but noticed right away the cover above rear view mirror housing the front camera was misaligned and bent. About a mile down the road my dash...
  13. Tailgate Cables of Uneven Length on a 2025 Ranger Raptor

Don't have length problem. Switched cables and still same problem. Cable folds out as it rolls over the cylinder.
  14. Tailgate Cables of Uneven Length on a 2025 Ranger Raptor

Mine are even - - still trying to figure out a simple spring like solution that will pull it back when the gate is closed.
  15. Tailgate Cables of Uneven Length on a 2025 Ranger Raptor

Does anyone have a problem with the tailgate cable on the passenger side folding out when closed. This is the side with the dampner. The middle of the cable likes to fold out as the gate is closed causing it to end up sicking out of the gap between the tailgate and the body panel. Not a major...
  16. Bed steps, can't decide

I'm 5'6 use then all the time on my Lariat.
  17. Did i buy the right truck?

Thanx - just weighing my options.
  18. Did i buy the right truck?

Ditto Dutch - lead foot plus++ By the way - did you buy the Granger factory warranty? I have not yet but with 13K miles maybe I should. Really stressing my lower gears :-0
  19. 2025 2.7 What Octane?

24' - 2.7 Ranger Lariat w/13K miles. I agree with DutchRanger. Also, If I go on a several day or weekend trip I will usually run a tank or two of higher octaine. I like using that on the interstates as the truck seems to run well (and better mileage) at those higher sustained speeds.
