  1. 18' sea kayak transport on the roof!

Good point. I always use both front and back ( whoops... bow and stern) lines on my 19ft aluminum canoe, but much more cross section than a kayak. Thanks for mentioning.
  2. 18' sea kayak transport on the roof!

Much thanks! I'm trying to avoid dropping the headliner and think I have Xpel laying around (headlight protective cover). Have a great time in the water!
  3. 18' sea kayak transport on the roof!

Great job, thanks for posting! I looked up the Hullavator, BUT can you please clarify what the roof rail system is? Tia. (Oh... and you're near Montreal... I had thought polar bears...)
  4. Does XLT have stereo EQ?

For audio equalization: -pick upper left of screen 'front view of truck' icon -then a list starts with 'controls' and I think 'sound' is second -pick 'sound' and it'll give you audio adjustments I have to add that I searched the owner's manual for 'treble' and 'bass' and it came up null.
  5. Lane Centering - Seatbelt Required

Understood, BUT there is such a thing as good peer pressure!
  6. On line manual

And I see that the manuals are 'Windows' impaired. They explicitly say they don't work on 'Apple' and /iOS operating systems. So I deduce they don't work on OS X and a bunch of other operating systems.

  8. OEM tailgate liner

The fastener is a 1" self-threading screw, with a with a 7/16 stand off. It's part of the 'kit' I installed and here's some info. It's not described so I just went a took one out. See part "K" snip and as in the page 10/11 of KIT, PICKUP BOX LINER and TAILGATE LINER document...

  10. Hard or hesitant downshifting into first gear and hesitation upon acceleration

I have a mild clunk at about 3 miles/hr as I come to a stop. It doesn't seem to sync with the gear indicator (like 1st gear) and if I put it in neutral at about 20 mi/hr and coast to a stop it does the same thing. I have a service appointment at the dealer next week. I don't recall having his...

Actually, my wife's rescue teddy bear. I showed her the 'likes.'

What I sent when someone wanted to see "Sandstone interior"
  13. RSI SmartCap & Wiring Harness (LED vs Incandescent)

I have an XLT and installed and connected the RSI "LED TAIL LIGHT HARNESS" as supplied. If I peer through the clear part of the rear lights lens I think I see incandescent bulbs, HOWEVER, the red brake light is an array of LEDs. Also, STEP 42 refers to a "16-PIN" connector for the LED harness...
  14. $24,950 SLATE Truck / SUV Info & News

Yes! Back to where us electric vehicle aficionados were almost 50(!) years ago: NEVs (neighborhood electric vehicles).
  15. Anybody Make Access Hatch For Oil Filter

I haven't and wouldn't. I found it very easy to replace from the top. There are other threads which discuss oil changes.
  16. TPMS & 5 Wheel Rotation

Yeah, apparently whichever is in the spare position stays asleep!
