I've seen this information wrong all over the web even stupid AI, so thought I'd give pictures of the drive type for all to see.
The 2.3l oil pump is Not chain driven. It is gear driven directly off crankshaft. This changed in 2020 in explorer 2.3l and 2024 and engine was even given a longer stroke than previous versions.
We've seen that the Rangers 2.7l and 3.0l is belt driven off gear cog drive on end of crankshaft.
