2023 Ranger as a towed vehicle

Should a 2023 Ranger have a battery charger installed to keep the battery up when being towed? It looks like the system shuts down when the key is turned back as far as it will go. I don't know if this is the "off" position, because the key cannot be removed. When the key is turned toward "on" the dash still reads Neutral
Tow. Is there any parasitic drain when in this darkened position? Thanks for considering my question.

Are you referring to flat towing?
The new Gen Rangers are not compatible w/ flat towing…
