If anybody is curious on what dressing period was

**Dressing Period refers to the ability to modify certain options/features of orders input based on dealer commitment before they schedule (usually within commodity constraints)

Wish y'all would get scheduled.

Is this more of something for stock orders?

Dear Ford, please build and ship these trucks!! I am tired of loading up stuff in the back of my wife's SUV. I finally after decades of driving an SUV/sedan/ and yes, even a bloody minivan have decided to get a truck. Sadly I chose a 2024 Ranger, which seems to be my worst car buying decision at least as far as timing goes. I have looked at the Tacoma, GMs, etc and I don't really like any of them, so am really holding high hopes this vehicle is as good as it sounds on paper. But my patience is wearing thin.... Thinking I really should have picked up that 2023 Lariat with the splash package I saw last year, but didn't want the dated technology package....sigh....

I'll be looking for some real progress here next week. 3 weeks in a row of no scheduling is frustrating. If it becomes another one next week, I'll be going to the Dallas Auto Show next weekend and may start seriously considering other options. This is no longer a want, it is a need!!!

Thank you Newface for this info each week, even if it is not good news.

And if look at the scheduling for the Bronco it mentions priority will be given to some of the Bronco models for the production weeks of 04-01-24 through 04-22-24 and as the Bronco is produced on the same assembly lines as the Ranger, than even less Rangers will be coming off the line during that time. I am unscheduled, clean but as of now that doesn't help me much.

That 3rd shift should be added right now to help get these rangers built.

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that just means out of all the orders in the bank for the Bronco, they are prioritizing scheduling for those specific specs for April. I don’t believe it means that they are shifting build focus to the Bronco at the factory

What's the difference?
If it is like very other 3rd shift operation in American manufacturing, it will be done as poorly as it gets in terms of quality
