4D TECH FLASH MODES INSTALLED -- Auto start/stop off and the Fogs W/High Beams Programmer

Well I purchased both the 4D Tech Inc Auto start/stop off and the Fogs W/High Beams Programmer. They work as advertised.

However, if you have to deal with the owner/operator your in for problem!

They offer and advertise a military discount but use a verifypass link, which asks for specific DOD documentation for verification, that is against federal law to ask for, provide, utilize, receive or retain. I didn’t make a big deal about it and just purchased at full retail cost.

However, I got a survey from them (I don’t do surveys)and requested them to remove me manually, since the provided unsubscribe link is bogus. All he wanted to do was argue about removing my email and never once offered me the discount, knowing I was retired military.

Just be advised; if you have to deal with him on the phone or by email, his customer service is extremely poor and he’s a real jerk to deal with.

Bottomline; the products work but; “Caveat Emptor.”

Verifypass only allows a specific set of documents to verify against, none of which are against Federal law. Its backed behind USAA lol. You played yourself out of the discount. The survey thing is actually an issue and can be reported to the FTC for violation if its malicious.

Looks way to complex for just those 2 functions. I did the Bambi light mode with Forscan. The ASS is defying a software fix, so probably have to spring for one of the hard wired ones. I'd probably stay away from this.

It’s not and takes about 5 minutes to install. There’s no removal of panel. Simply drop the glove box door and you have access to the right side where it installs. Unplug the OEM plug and insert the 4D Tech in place.

The high beam/w fogs, takes longer to plug it in the OBD II, then it takes to actually make the software change.

The install of the Auto Start on/off, takes a little contorting with the hand to get in place.

Everything is straightforward. Both work flawlessly.
