Debris between cab and bed

I know there is a thread somewhere about this but I couldn't find it. Someone put a pool noodle between the cab and the bed. I used a pipe insulation. I did not want to run it so far out that I plugged the gap. I want to allow air so the mystery white stuff can dry out. But when I haul mint I don't want it back there.
