Hi Guys,

As some of the EU spec owners with cars deliverd after june '24 surely have experienced there is a speed warning chimes the moment you go over the speed limit.

Speed limit is recognized by a hybrid system both from map and camera from the car, but not always that accurate...

My question :

My car is delivered in May '24 and does not have the warning, friend of mine's car is delivered july '24 and his does have the chime.

I ran both vin numbers through motorcraftservice and been looking up the difference's in both configurations, there are quite some...
Been comparing the difference to the F-150 forscan spreadsheet (where nearly every digit in these codes are explained).

With there being a lot of differences, maybe some of you guys have already been looking into this or have a solution, or a way on how to figure out what should be changed?

You can turn if off but every time you turn the car off and start it again you have to turn of the over speed warning again. Maybe there is an option so it memorises it's last setting, like there is with the lane assist setting this can be done under the normal forscan configuration not in the as built data. But for so far i've seen there is no option for the over speed warning

I see these settings that might be worth a try:
APIM TSR Overspeed Chime (though that seems related to traffic sign recognition)
IPC GCC Overspeed Warning (120kph and over)

Oh and since you said you compared with the asbuilt, the two settings above have these AB:

7D0-09-02xxxxxx*xxx--Bit4
(bit 4 is furthest left bit, so value greater than 8 is enabled, subtract 8 to disable)

720-02-01xxxxxxxxx*--Bit1
(bit 1 is furthest right bit, so odd #s are enabled, even #'s disabled)

Adress 7D0-09-02 are identical the same i don't think it will be in there.

On the other hand adress 720-02-01 aren't the same. But the bit you're mentioning is the same.

The bit you have highlighted is one of the two checksum digits, not the * in x*--, but either way, they both are still the same (the E in this case, which would be 1110, bit 1 being 0, or disabled), so this doesn't seem like it's the issue as both still show disabled.

Sorry, then, not sure what else could drive that setting then.

Hello,

I am very annoyed to have to disable it every time you start the car, let's see if someone has the solution by forscan.

Does anyone have any information on how to program it out?
I would be so grateful...
