I am having a safety issue with my truck that my dealer cannot solve, and it seems I am on my own.

When driving on the hwy using standard cruise control and all emergency braking options turned off, my truck will cut throttle (does not apply brakes) every time someone changes lanes in front of me. This happens even if the vehicle is 3-4 cars lengths away, and even if they are driving at the same speed or faster. It's behaves as if adaptive cruise control is on, but it is not. The truck will not maintain speed under this condition, even if you apply additional throttle, after 2-3 seconds it will accelerate back to set speed. If you are in the right lane and nearing a busy exit and multiple people change lanes in front of you to exit, the truck can lose 10-15mph by the time you reach the exit. This causes people behind me to lay on their horn or flip me off while they drive around me. This is a major safety issue for me. I have even opened an NHTSA complaint for it. I also tried trading in this truck due to this issue (only 1k miles on it at the time), but it was a 9k loss to trade in for a AT4x and that is not in the cards right now for me.

I am willing to disable/unplug/remove whatever system is causing this behavior even if it kills other functionality. I am not sure if I need to kill the front camera or radar sensor to stop this behavior.

Does anyone have any tips on where to begin in FORScan?

Thank you in advance!

That's odd. If you haven't already. I would turn adaptive back on, turn off the the gap set (if it's a toggle) and see if that works. Alternatively, turning the cruise control to normal and then off.

Not in my truck, just going off of memory.

Sounds like a bad sensor. Have you tried another dealer, maybe a bigger one with more nerdy techs?

It does behave like adaptive is still on even though it is set to standard. I did try toggling it on then off again for that reason, like you said. I have not tried turning it on, then set to 1 car and back off, I will try that... TY
