How has everyone installed the front license plate holder? I'm not wanting to drill holes in my brand new 4runner and wonder how everyone else has handled this. I live in Florida and front plates are not required here but I normally put a custom plate on my vehicles.

I hadn’t thought about the front plate drilling. I need to make sure I contact my dealer about that before delivery.

Ironically despite front plates being required in California, I’ve run without a front plate on my last two vehicles and never had an issue. Doesn’t seem to be widely enforced in LA. And even if you get a ticket, it’s like $20.

Yeah my dealer did me a solid and just put the holder in the vehicle instead of drilling holes in my brand new bumper.

I’m also in CA and I’ve never had an issue running no plate in the front for my SUVs. But when I had a miata, i got 3 tickets for no front plate šŸ˜‚

Toyota still hasn't designed a front license plate mount that doesn't require drilling holes? My 2016 Ford's front mount can snap into slots in the bumper trim that's cleverly hidden in the black trim. Meanwhile my 2016 Camry has two holes drilled into the bumper because I bought it used and it was originally from Texas. C'mon Toyota.

I'm still desperately trying to find a no drilling solution so I can apply my Texas required front license plate to my TRD Sport Premium. Has anyone found a product designed specifically for this new generation of 4Runner yet?

I'm close to West Houston, in between Katy/Sugar Land.
If I get caught, I blame my wife. She's been going years with that setup and I've always hated the front license plate.

Where did you get your 4Runner??

Me too, bud! Near the dead West Oaks Mall.

I may just try out the windshield license plate method & see how it goes. I really don't want to drill onto my bumper or ā€œjerry rigā€ much.

I traveled about 250 miles to purchase mine. Got mine built how I wanted it for $57,500 Drive Out at Family Toyota of Burleson in Burleson, TX. I highly recommend the dealership...much nicer dealership & much more pleasant to deal with than our local dealerships.

Where did you purchase from & what did you pay?

Nice! We eat around that area here and there but I'm closer to 99.

Did yours come with side steps or predator steps? Did you get all weather mats?

I got mine at Sterling McCall Toyota on 59, didn't get anything special so just an SR5 at sticker price +TTL so came out to about $52500. Had a few add ons but the standard stuff and 3rd row seating

That's funny because my wife lived in Burleson and I'm familiar with that dealership. Did you talk to Sierra? lol

Small world, man! šŸ˜„

I didn't want the step rails. It was coming with the predator steps but I don't like them on the TRD Sport trim. I ordered some black oval tube steps for 25% off from Fred Haas Toyota World in Spring afterward to have installed. I think they look better on my trim.

I didn't deal with Sierra. I dealt remotely with the New Car Sales Manager. His name is Greg Striejewske. Super awesome guy to work with & no bullshit tactics. He made things happen for me. When I arrived to take delivery I did have to deal with one of his salesmen named Cristian Beruman. He was okay but he kind of ā€œrubbed meā€ the wrong way about a few things. I'd have much rather been dealing only with Greg but he has to oversee 40 sales people/product specialists so I get it. I'd definitely buy from Greg again as he has been absolutely fantastic!

My 4Runner has been in my chosen ā€œcar spaā€ since 04/12/25 getting full STEK paint protection film, full Modesta ceramic coat, an ExoShield windshield film & all windows tinted with Ceramic Plus tint. I plan on keeping my 4Runner for at least 15-20 years if it lasts that long God willing!

Good deal! Mine came with predator steps and with a child and elderly mom, it's not the best. Some people love the predator steps so seeing any locals wanting to trade lol

I've never bought from Family but had my wife's car serviced there a few times and had good experience each time. The first 2025 4Runner I looked at was at Family Toyota of Burleson too lol

How long does it take to get all that done? It's been almost a month?
