I was hitting 28 and averaged 27.9 on a short highway trip last week following a semi with the adaptive cruise set at 70.

Trying to do the math in my head but 32.6 miles over 54 minutes is like 36mph....

The best I got so far was 28.8 mpg. That was with 5 adults and 3 small case luggage on the bed and the roof rack on a 142 miles trip. On work commute with 50/50 highway/local I get anywhere from 20-22 mpg. I traded in an Acura Integra where I was getting 45/47 mpg on the highway, but I’m super happy with my TRD Sport.

What is your full tank average? I drive pretty conservative and I average between 18.5-19 per tank with mostly city driving by the onboard computer. I haven't done a manual calculation but I'm sure it's within 1 mpg.

I believe manual 6speed can give more MPG if u drive in proper gear
. I can stay in smaller gear like 3 rd gear until 60 km per hour speed and 4 th till 85 and i never use 6 gear unless i am doing 120 km /h .. .
For example if traffic is going slow (20-30 km per h ) i will stay in 2nd gear and once it crosess 2000 rpm and i keep it same .. it hardly takes any gas ..
Is that all highway?
no mix . But 70 percent highway . In city with lot of lights i get around 20 mpg

This is very encouraging. Basically it seems like I won't see to much of a drop of from my Forester Wilderness. I get around 27 mpg average if I switch the CVT to manual mode and force it to the top gear ratio. Otherwise I get around 25.5 mpg.

Considering what I've seen here and other places, 24 mpg is probably not unrealistic for my mostly highway driving.
