Does the visor-mounted opener lose power at some point when parked? Obviously it should work when on, when acc is on, maybe even for xx seconds after the truck is off. I just unlocked (by handle, not fob) and was able to open the garage door without turning on the truck.

It would just make sense that is not constantly powered. Otherwise, there is no benefit (increased security) for the HoneLink vs old school opener. Maybe a FORScan option?

Update - Hopefully this isn't a thing, but my windows were down while parked in the garage so I reached in and hit the button - nada. No lights and the door didn't open. I opened the truck door and things came alive (as expected). I hit the HomeLink button and the door opened. This is dumb.

My old Titan had HomeLink and was only powered when the truck was on and about a minute after it was off. I'm hoping for a FORScan setting or something before I reset the HomeLink button and abandon it for something more secure.

Thoughts?
