HiHi everyone!
I'm excited to share some (albeit minor) news with you all! I've been hard at work adapting a comprehensive maintenance map initially developed for the Toyota Tacoma to fit our 2024 Ford Ranger. The original map, crafted by Tyler (@soft taco on the Tacoma forums) at Oil Drop, has been a big hit with Tacoma drivers, and I believe it can be just as beneficial for us Ranger owners.
What's Been Done So Far
I've reworked Tyler's maintenance map, ensuring all the information is tailored to the 2024 Ford Ranger. This process has involved:
- Verifying Information: Cross-referencing data from several Ford manuals to ensure accuracy - sadly, this takes a long time because Ford's manual system online is a pain to navigate.
- Gathering Part Numbers and Torque Specs: Acquiring precise details from the Ford Parts website.
- Creating a Comprehensive Tracker: Developing a tracker (still a work in progress).
Your Feedback would be helpful
As I move forward, your feedback and contributions are essential. I am seeking your help / feedback in three areas:
- To answer whether you would use this map and whether you find it helpful;
- To provide feedback on layout, before I completely fill in the sections;
- To identify any missing part numbers or additional information that could enhance the accuracy and completeness of this map.
How You Can Help
Credits and Acknowledgements
- Review the Beta Version: Check out the initial beta version 0.1 of the maintenance map and let me know your thoughts.
- Provide Recommendations: Share any feedback, suggestions, or recommendations to improve the map.
- Identify Missing Information: If you spot any missing part numbers or details, please share them with me so I can update the map accordingly.
I want to give a huge shoutout to Tyler at Oil Drop for his incredible work on the original Tacoma maintenance map. His efforts gave me the idea on format and everything.
Just picked up a 2025 Ranger XLT V6 that will be mostly pulling a trailer. Finding Ford's severe service recommendations has been difficult. I saw this project of yours and this is just what I was looking for. Did this project complete and if so could I get a copy?
Thanks
