A .pdf file search using an older .pdf app like Adobe Reader has to be an exact word match (I don't think they even support Boolean searches though I admit to never having tried). I imagine the new subscription-based Adobe apps like Acrobat and Reader have an AI search function, though (haven't tried b/c I hate subscription models for software).I haven't gotten the search to find much. Searching for the "button on the steering wheel with the car driving on the train tracks" just didn't work.
You probably know this already, but maybe try running the .pdf through ChatGPT or Grok. Or, the old stand-by, query your phrase using any web browser's AI). In both cases, you'll probably have better results.
But yes, I like both my .pdf versions and the hard copies I bought from Helm (great to have in vehicle..., especially since a) the on screen manual stinks and b) what if your vehicle is dead and has no power)?
