I’m no help but I do like those. Are the current off road wheels the same but with a different color scheme?

They’re definitely TRD OR wheels just with a different color for the Prerunner. I’m not sure how hard these wheels are to procure since as TRD Jon said, the Prerunner is almost more rare on dealer lots than the TRD Pro. Most Toyota dealers should have the part number for that specific wheel. I would love to see a 4Runner with these wheels though.

That’s my plan, hoping someone out there know the part number for this

Glad to see similar-minded people, it's the exact wheel I would go after for an upgrade on SR5, the 17" OR design is perfect except for the stupid not-even-fake-beadlock contrast rim

It seems like the operative part of the part number might be the last suffix and maybe the prefix?
- PTR56-35242-F1: 18" black "TRD" wheel that people like
- PTR56-35240-5F: 18" bronze for taco Trailhunter
- PT946-35240-2F: 18" black for taco TRD Pro

Alternatively there is another numbering scheme that might have some hope:
- 4260D-AK011: 18" for taco Limited
- 42611-AK011: 17" silver for taco SR5
- 42611-AK031: 18" for taco Sport
- 42611-AK051: 17" for taco OR

I have been trying to plug numbers into both, but it seems that Toyota just doesn't want to disclose prerunner part numbers. Or because prerunner was a late addition, maybe the parts sites didn't pick up on it.

@mintxo if you are still looking for these, I fed a Prerunner VIN to a local parts guy and he gave me a 42611-AK061 from their system as OE fit for the 24 Prerunner. Which definitely seems to exist, and is in line with the numbering scheme for the other wheels, but no parts websites have any useful details on it - no diagrams, no descriptions, no fitment info, no trim where it comes from. So I guess now we know at least a number to put to the name.

From google results I am pretty confident that AK051 is the regular TRD OR wheel (silver ring). So this seems promising (since as we know Taco OR and Prerunner wheels are dimensionally identicalf)

Price is steep as expected, however, at $486CAD per wheel after "discount".

I know. I'm leaning towards just swapping center cap, picking up an extra Taco/4R SR5 wheel for the spare, and sticking with SR5 wheels and 265/70R17 at this rate
  • TH/Pro wheels won't be cheap here, and I HATE poke with a passion, I now know for sure that Pro/TH wheels are guaranteed to sit outside the flares on non-Pro/TH
  • Prerunner wheels are way too pricey for a repainted Taco OR wheel
  • I doubt I can get and powdercoat 17 or 18" OR wheels for less $ here in Canada......
  • Tundra/Sequoia Pro wheels would straight up make me broke
  • TY-03 (Tundra Pro replica) is +35, kinda borderline and might be same as #1
  • TT07 is +25, basically will be same as #1
  • Not a huge fan of the retail TRD black 18" wheel, and it's out of stock most places anyway
The only bright spot seems to be Replika R262 - the 18" and 20" options have a +60 that seems more suited to Tundra/Seq, but the 17x8" option is +55 which is almost a spot on match for Taco OR/Prerunner, just ever so slightly wider. Seems promising, is a similar design overall. The 18" version at least doesn't look so bad on Tundra:

A bit of poke I think is fine if using 285/70R17, the meatier tires make it look okay. But smaller with poke just looks goofy, and having been a 285/70R17 user in the past I don't want to deal with the added price and weight anymore
