The drone footage creates more questions than answers. I had originally envisioned early builds being boxed in with newer builds. That's not what I'm seeing in the video though. Many of those F150s look accessible already. And those that are parked in a line should be FIFO capable. A competent planner would still be able to maintain FIFO capability even as new vehicles get added to the line by simply allowing the tails to grew into the spaces vacated by moving vehicles out of the line at the head. The gap between the head and tail as it wraps around the lot would itself effectively revolve around the lot. So there is no reason based on that video I can see that justifies early builds being boxed in as the reason for the delay. Obviously the Ranger lot could be using a different strategy than depicted in the F150 video. But the video at least provides evidence that Ford has the ability to FIFO vehicles if using that lot with a good management strategy.
