The manuel shows where you must kick or remove your foot. The manuel did not help me or I over looked this button issue. Thanks for your response.I concur with Maximus4r ; the rear window must be fully shut for the buttons to operate.
On a similar note, the kick sensor on our rear gate sometimes works, sometimes doesn't and I don't know what I'm doing differently. It seems to work when the truck is locked.
I had the same issue when I picked up my 4R. Apparently the rear hatch is disabled during shipping from the factory. So none of the rear hatch buttons work until enabled during Pre-Delivery Inspection by the dealer. My salesperson went into the settings using the steering wheel (see pics) and enabled it under PBD.
I read in the manuel how to set height which is great for those not 6’3” . Guess I got to have a visit to the Steelership Service DeptI had the same issue when I picked up my 4R. Ok Yeah! I did not try that, thanks… Always some good info to have! Just got back from steelership. It looks the whole moulding of the rear door has moved away from door. They want it for 4 hrsLOL. Check my revised post - I added pics of the settings menu.
