IMO, the RR is not the issue. For the money, RR is one awesome truck, really all Rangers are, and if it came in Ruby Red, I would own one. Ford's former Toyota Lexus executive CEO with his EV/PHEV $4 billion investment vision with gas burners paying the bill is the issue, along with less emphasis on factory quality assurance and using the Ranger as a mid-sized truck market placeholder because other brands are there and Ford needs something. Ford is setting a record in 2025 so far with over 103 recalls. And RR and even BR do not compare with the Ford Maverick, which has been out since MY 2022. Four MYs, another one coming out, and twenty-nine recalls of various types so far; way above the median average. Large Maverick cost increases from 2022-2025, for little added features. Models and packages that are not well-appointed at any level, for the price, i.e. the same two engines regardless of the five Maverick models, and ActiveX vinyl (even on the Tremor) being marketed by Ford's environmental stewards as, "a high-end synthetic material [read VINYL] designed to be durable and easy to clean, rather than traditional leather. ActiveX does not contain any animal-based materials." Yep, no animals are harmed or killed in producing Ford's Maverick in Mexico. Well, people still buy Mavericks more than Rangers, apparently wanting or needing an Escape-frame unibody urban utility vehicle, a small SUV with a 4' bed. Well, good for them. Not me. I love trucks. REAL trucks. And my Ranger Lariat is one awesome truck. Not that I am biased or anything, because I did test drive a Maverick Lobo model with both engines in town and on the freeway and that was all I needed to know after having had a 2010 F150 with a V8 and a 2021 F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost. This is a problem with forums. One guy/gal or a very few have an issue and it gets blown up in proportion until people think that it's an issue with all the vehicles or whatever the forum is about. I see it in almost every forum I'm on.
I really don't think that the Ranger Raptor has any more issues than any other fairly new release vehicle. Plus there are now just a lot more recalls for almost any product, many for very minor issues that used to be ignored, than in years post.
Remember this... Almost all of the chatter on a forum about a particular product is about complaints of the few, many of which are either imagined or caused by the complainer. Satisfied people are usually in the overwhelming majority but they aren't the vocal ones.
