Looking for input from other 2024 Ranger Raptor owners.
I’m dealing with a front-end noise and vibration that I can't get the dealer to diagnose. The noise is loudest around 50 mph, especially when coasting or off the throttle. It sounds like a rotating or cyclical noise coming from the front of the vehicle. At the same speeds, I can also feel a vibration through the steering wheel.
The frustrating part is that the Ford dealer has now looked at the truck twice and has had it for more than 6 days total. They also performed a wheel balancing, but that didn't fix the issue.
I'm not sure if it's related, but I had Ford's shop replace the front driver-side shock around 4,000 miles after it failed and started leaking oil.
During one of the inspections, the technician told me they could feel the vibration and hear the noise, and they were investigating it. However, the next day I was told they couldn’t find anything or recreate the noise.
The symptoms are still there and very repeatable for me. I start to hear the noise at 30 mph, it’s most noticeable around 50 mph while coasting, and the steering wheel vibrates above 30 mph. I don't notice any change while turning or stopping. I wasn’t able to record the noise.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with their Ranger Raptor?
I’d especially like to hear from anyone who has had a “woop/woop” or rotational humming or growling noise that changes when getting on or off the throttle, combined with steering wheel vibration.
The truck drives normally otherwise, but the noise and vibration are concerning, especially since the dealer has acknowledged the symptoms but hasn’t been able to identify the cause.
Has anyone found the source of a similar problem?
