My new Ranger Raptor build - from the beginning to upgrades: Darkening of front and rear lights whit installation of protective foil and frames.

After several months of waiting, my new Raptor arrived in stark black - exactly what I wanted! In future Raptor upgrades, it will become clear why I chose this particular color, aside from the fact that I like black cars. The car has absolutely all factory extras plus a roll bar with an electric blind for the cargo compartment. For starters, I'll post some pictures of the new Raptor from the handover of the keys and a picture of my previous Mercedes.

Next time I will show you how to install an electric front winch that is under warranty from local Ford dealer.

I hope that in the near future there will be continuations for the exterior of the car and restoration of the original software of the motor up to 400 hp, may be more ..

Very nice, ordered mine without decals though. Amazing disparity of availability in US vs rest of the world.....

There are some differences. Personally, I'd prefer the American software on the 410 hp Raptor engine. and rims with additional rings - suitable for Baja mode!

Wow I’m actually impressed! Google did detect what must be the right language & presumably didn’t mangle OP’s meaning too badly.

I plan (something already done):
- installation of a front winch;
- treatment of all plastic elements in the exterior - eyebrows of fenders, front and rear bumper with raptor paint with high hardness;
-installation of protective profiles and protective film on front and rear headlights with partial dimming;
- complete treatment of the body paint whit protective foil black mat from 3M;
- upgrade of the B&O sound system, mainly in the direction of deeper and natural sub-bass;
- restoration of the original software of the engine up to 410 hp. etc

How to install a front winch without voiding the warranty:


After removing the front bumper and radiator grill, you need to move the active cruise sensor up, under the Ford badge. In the new location it works better and is protected when going through deeper water.

After that, a steel (chrome-vanadium alloy) plate with durable powder coating is installed on the two front "horns" of the supporting chassis of the car, by means of corresponding bolts - 4 pcs on each end. The winch is mounted on the provided triangular supports - in the case for the Kangaroo model, performance series,12000lbs(5440kg) with deep gray Kevlar rope - 28m + 2m red signal end.

On the front, I preferred a clip finish and an additional fastening device. I don’t recommend a hook because when moving it hits and injures the plastic part of the front bumper. When taken apart, we give a good assessment of the Raptor's construction, which fulfills the motto: Make Ford tough!

The winch is controlled by a wireless remote control and a separate wired control when the wireless battery runs out.

Beautiful I have ordered my RR in black as well, I’m interested in the roll bar I’ve never seen one like it. What is the brand and model?

The roll bar is original and fitted at the Ford factory - ordered as an optional extra, along with an electric blind. It is controlled manually with a button on the left of the cargo compartment or with the car's remote control. The blind is well made and does not allow moisture even in the heaviest rain.

Very nice that’s not an option in the US. Your blind is what we call a bed cover and I’ve never seen one like yours. Thanks maybe one day they will sell them here. Great looking truck! Enjoy

FYI there are a couple companies that offer aftermarket roll-up covers in the US. You can get them either manual or powered but neither is cheap. Retrax is probably the most well known brand.

I have one on my F150 but I’ve never seen one that would work with the roll bar and rails you have on your truck.
