Yes, colder plugs are what you want to do every 20,000 miles. At what point should someone upgrade plugs? Its my first ford/ecoboost, but ive read these engines are hard on spark plugs and the replacement interval is like 30k miles for plugs? is this accurate? Would it be worth upgrading plugs on the FP tune or just custom tunes?
I wish this whole ecu unlock had been announced just 2 weeks sooner i would have went custom vs FP.
Thanks man!!Ordered, now I have a Ford tuner paperweight.
That's one.
If you have a windows laptop I can help you do everything myself. It's super easy man!Anyone recommend someone to do tuning in Houston. Would rather get someone local so I can have the tune removed if I need any warranty work.
A shop had the LTR7BHX plugs in stock so I installed them yesterday and gapped at .026. RR definitely smoother and seems like quicker responses. I am running a jb4 tuner and E20 -E30. However, I have noticed a slight drop in HPFP when it hits 24psi. This happened with around E40 in the tank (I was testing higher ethanol) E20 and even E30 seems to be ok. RR is compatible with E20 which is sold here. I don't have a flex fuel kit, and I suspect that too high of ethanol content is putting strain on the fuel system. Therefore, I'm going to stick to E20 and occasionally E30-35 if I race the car. This is a great question!
I invest in the cars/trucks I tune in order to put the proper development time into learning the platform, hands on! My truck has been on the dyno for hundreds and hundreds of pulls.
I've tested various fuels, environments, mods, etc. Once I have collected that data I know what the trucks will take and what they won't so a dyno is no longer needed.
This is why I call my work safe/reliable, because I've proven it on MY dev trucks. Most others cannot say the same.
I recommend these:

Your plugs don’t look horrible.A shop had the LTR7BHX plugs in stock so I installed them yesterday and gapped at .026. RR definitely smoother and seems like quicker responses. I do like the adjustability of the jb4 and would like to keep it as a back end to a proper tune if possible. What has been your experience running a jb4 with a flash tune? Jb4 states it's no problem and from what I've seen, other people who do it and had are quite satisfied. After testing both a FP and JB4, I can honestly say the jb4 kicks the crap out of the FP. It's a noticeable difference and I think that's because the jb4 comes on stronger and pulls a lot harder, especially mid-range to top end. The FP seems smoother, but I know already it's making less power compared to the jb4. Dyno runs show that too. I am very satisfied with the JB4, however the unit doesn't tune the transmission.
I would like to see what you have to offer. Of course I am looking at many options as there are a number of tuners were jumping on this now that the ECU is unlocked. For example, 5 star tuning has a really good deal where you get 3 tunes with their package. That's something I'd be very interested in it you can offer a package deal with the MPVI3 and 3 tunes. The tunes would obviously be for different fuel types, E10, E20, and E30+. Can you make it happen bro. Thx. Oh btw. Here are what the stock plugs look like after I pulled them out yesterday. 12k miles and about 1.5 months of use with the JB4. Your thoughts and input. ?

I’ve talked with at least a dozen who’ve broken rear axles, myself included.Yes?
Price is never an issue with me. Experience with proven results is what I'm looking for. I totally agree with what you said. I don't want to be the tester truck for unproven tunes. Been down that road before.Your plugs don’t look horrible.
Yeah there will be a lot of tuners popping up now, but what you need to look for is reputable companies. If safe reliable power is your goal, look for that. That’s my focus. That’s my reputation.
Remember, making power isn’t hard, it’s keeping things together is what separates the shops who know what they are doing vs the ones who really don’t. Despite what they try to sell you.
Shops that spend the time and money on R&D is what you want, the ones who buy the cars they tune. Not the guys testing on your truck. There are too many tuners that do that, and it literally never ends well.
If they don’t care to invest in themselves, what makes you think they care about your investment?
Whatever you do, just do your research. If you go with me or not, I want whatever you find to be best for you.
Same.Price is never an issue with me. Experience with proven results is what I'm looking for. I totally agree with what you said. I don't want to be the tester truck for unproven tunes. Been down that road before.
Damn Nice Numbers !I had a buddy reach out from 10,000 miles away in South Africa a couple days after HP Tuners unlocked the MG1 ECUs.
He got this Stock 2022 Ranger Raptor on the dyno on his local premium fuel, and baselined it.
Stock
382whp 632nm
After my *first flash*, it picked up 98whp and 124nm!!
Tuned
