Puddle Under Truck After Remote Start

Anyone else have a puddle under their truck after you start it up? It’s coming from under the bed. No clue where its origin is, but it is dripping from the exhaust maybe a third of the way down the bed. I thought A/C initially, but this is nowhere near the engine bay.

Humidity has no impact. It does it outside, inside an insulated garage, hot, cold, doesn’t matter.

I am thinking it is just condensation out of the exhaust.

Have you checked to see what it is?
If water, it is likely condensation off the exhaust.

Looks like there is a purposed weep hole in the muffler or something. Interesting… can’t say that I’ve seen that before

Mine does that, it pees out the weep hole in the muffler. Never seen that before either.

It’s been pretty common place to have weep holes in mufflers at least with trucks I have owned for the past few decades. It’s there to drain out exhaust condensation.

Honestly thought it was in all mufflers or they would be prone to rust out especially if driven or used in short distance commutes .

Nothing like the "finger" test. Touch it with your finger, and rub it with your thumb. If it feels watery it is condensation (often found thrown out from the back of the exhaust), if it feels watery, you have other issues like Rings or engine blow through. I agree with others, condensation. The weeps keep the innards of the exhaust from rusting out (even though most exhausts are now stainless steel).
