Agree with most of what's already been listed, although price would be impacted and of course that still matters to some of us.

I've got 3K miles on my Lariat and do love it as is, but here's my wish list for this trim level:

~ Auto folding mirrors (with engine start/stop)
~ Option to set the auto start/stop feature how you want it to operate
~ Auto start is nice on the app, but put it back on the key fob as well
~ Backilighted manual temp controls. I know I can use the screen, but backlighting on the manual controls would be nice too have ...hard to see at night
~ Move the rear seat latch controls to the driver side.
~ I'm OK with the cheap leather, but maybe offer an upgrade with some REAL leather? I would have paid for that!
~ Memory for driver's seat adjustments
~ Last but not least ...wireless map and system updates!!!

regarding the heated mirrors was never sure why the salesmen said anything as I never even asked about them. I agree that I don't really care as I'm waiting for the state to send the title - so it won't be going anywhere until my kids are old enough to take it and then maybe I will look at a new one - but by then they might finally be flying.

I miss having heated mirrors a lot. Even my cheap base model 4 cylinder Tacoma had them. The rear defrost is definitely handy lately though.

To add to this truck I would like to see better mileage figures. If Ford could get it to like low to mid 30s I'd be over the moon happy with it. I'm already stoked as it is. I see all the next gen mid size trucks as being a real hard choice to make before purchase. They'll be that good.

Hi Folks,

My add to Rob's starter is for Ford to get the Sync ready for prime time and to not have such an unstable and unreliable platform that takes hours to download updates that should be done in minutes...particularly to have to idle the motor for the time....Really stinks. I almost never use sync for anything...My Android phone is far and away 10 times more superior to Sync... Come on Ford IT....get you act together...

Best,

Why do you want/need a diesel in a truck this size? Unless you are towing heavy a lot of the time it just doesn’t make economic sense.
It doesn't have to make economic sense to you at all,or anyone for that matter. I have owned diesels in the past, and it's my preferred engine option. NO, I have no need for a f150/250/350.

Musts have:

Better break pedal with less travel or firmer. (always feels like there is air in the lines)
60/40 rear seats that fold down rear seats. (Rear seats are my biggest pet peeve).
Led Headlights.
Tail gate damper.

Options I would like to see:

Heated mirrors I live in WI.
A way to shut auto start off permanently.
120 volt outlet in the bed.

The only thing I wish my Ranger had that it doesn't is a locking gas door. :)

Locking fuel - since they are working with VW adopted there system where when the car is locked the fuel door is to - once the car is unlocked so is the fuel door and has the same push to open as the Ranger.
I don't know how yours works, but mine is always open - doesn't matter whether I lock the doors or not - I can open the fuel door regardless. If it worked as you said (only can open the door when the truck is unlocked) that would be fine - but mine doesn't work that way.

Heated steering wheel and cooled seats - one thing the salesmen told me the reason there are no heated mirrors is because of the lane assist - don't know if this is BS - but I didn't even ask so I took it with a grain of salt.

Fold flat rear seats and better console storage
Shouldn't have been a big deal for the Ranger. The same set up you posted is on the wife's Lincoln MKC.

I would love a Diesel, but with the cost of it per gallon, needed DEF, and maint cost is lot more than gas.. I don't want those extra expense. :-(
