There are threaded holes ALL over the truck. I’ve wondered why may times. I’m guess production used them as mounting points for assembly and things of that nature.

I've considered acoustic glass and different tires when these wear down (10k so far). The tire noise isn't the issue. Wind noise is not that much worse than other vehicles. But i might change both when needed.

The incorrect fit isn’t so loose that it’s instantly noticeable which is why I’m concerned many may have this issue. The correct fit is a PITA to get latched. I doubt any tech will do it properly
