  1. Oil catch can question?

I just ordered a UPR set up for my Ranger Raptor, I know a 3.0 is not a 2.3 but I traded a 2.3 Bronco for the Ranger and I had a UPR set up for it. Install on the 2.3 Bronco was relativity easy and the Can did its job. I've been using UPR cans on various vehicles for several years now and they...
  2. What car insurance do you have?

    Hello fellow Coastie!
  3. Ranger Raptor R

FYI: I put a Red R insert in the last R on my tailgate Raptor emblem. Why? because it's mine and I like it! :p
  4. Ford storage bins (pivot storage box) installed in bed

Interesting, Green Loctite is just 1 tic lower than Red in hold strength and still needs heat for removal in most instances...
  5. Ford storage bins (pivot storage box) installed in bed

I beg to differ, the bolts I extracted were installed at the factory with Red Loctite and the replacement bolts I received from Ford were pretreated with Red Loctite.
  6. Under Cover Pivot toolbox install

WOW! Those are pretty robust bolts; I'm surprised it broke that way. Red Loctite is some nasty stuff and I'm surprised that Ford decided to use it on a bolt that stood a good chance of being remove. But if there's one thing I have learned over the years, Mechanics don't spec things like this...
  7. Under Cover Pivot toolbox install

I bought the REAL Truck version of this tool box but they're all the same, made in the same factory, just branded to whomever sell them retail. Let's get this important info first: The Ranger Factory tie down bolts are installed from the Factory with RED Loctite! Red Loctite is as PERMINATE as...
  8. Ford storage bins (pivot storage box) installed in bed

An FYI to this post: The Ranger Factory tie down bolts are installed from the Factory with RED Loctite! Red Loctite is as PERMINATE as you can get without welding! Nowhere is this mentioned in anyone's (Ford or Real Truck) directions! The only way to remove a fastener set with Red Loctite is...
  9. Ford storage bins (pivot storage box) installed in bed

All these toolboxes are made in the same factory in Missouri and branded according to who is selling them.
  10. UnderCover Pivot Storage Box in my 2025 Lariat. Install was annoying.

  11. Anyone bump up their oil weight from 5w-30 to 10w-30 after about 5000 miles .

Mobile 1 10W-40 meets the Ford specs as does several others. Using 10W-40 oil will NOT harm your engine or void any warranties but it will cost you slightly in gas milage.
  12. Future Newbie Question

Something is definitely off here. All new Fords are "slightly" slower when brand new. The computer hasn't learned your driving style as of yet. BUT even with under 10 miles from the factory a new RR should be way peppier than your 2.7L Bronco! When I bought mine I inadvertently smoked the...
  13. Anyone bump up their oil weight from 5w-30 to 10w-30 after about 5000 miles .

The difference between 5W-30 and 10W-30 is negligible as far as gas milage goes. On cold start up the oil is more viscus and your engine will work slightly, and I do mean slightly, harder, but unless you are in sub-arctic conditions it won't matter. 10W-40 would achieve your desired outcome but...

  15. WHY DIDN'T THESE COME STOCK - Redline Tuning Hood Struts on The Ranger Raptor

I'd like to address the "hard to close" issue. The struts open and hold the hood a bit more (higher) than using the hood prop and in doing this, the hood is at the maximum strut length and you could say the hood is opened slightly "over center." When it comes time to close the hood, it is...
