Found this today on my center console. Seem some videos and this is for configuring a new key to the car (that have factory keyless system).
It's probably just the plastic with nothing useful there since my car uses the regular key, but will look further to see if there's any hope.
By messing around with the car settings on my central screen just found that the changes I've made in the other modules had some effect. Found that inside driver assistance it now shows the option to always activate the front parking sensors.
"Front parking sensors (Always)"
"Allows you to...
The IPMA (Image Processing Module A) is the one responsible for the lots of features that my car simply doesn't have, like collision avoidance and lane keeping systems. And as it seems, it's also responsible for controlling the front parking sensors.
If I don't have this module, maybe I'm not...
Last friday I installed a trailer hitch in my car and found out that even though it didn't come from factory, it has the electrical plug hidden there in the rear.
Now I just need to buy the wiring harness and connect it.
Why I'm telling you guys all this? Because this got me wondering if...
Guess it only works on vehicles that have the 360º cameras. In my car, that only got the rear camera, there's no way to activate this camera without using the reverse gear.
And btw, nice testing sequence you got there. Great work.
How did you god rid of the adaptative shift strategies?
My car doesn't have the front parking sensors. I'm trying to activate them via forscan so I can buy and install them. I've read in the F150 forum that I had to access the IPMA module so I can change the 4CH parking sensor to 8CH parking sensor. As it turns out, either my car doesn't have the...
Update: Found something that might be what I need. In the PCM Module, found the "Parking_Assistance" option, with in my car has "Parking Assistance, Rear" value in it. I wrote a new valeu to it, "Parking Assistance, Rear and Front".
Apparently, it didn't change anything. When I use the reverse...
Thanks! I'm going to test it. How do you turn the camera on at speed? It appears a button at the car screen for you to click it or it has some other way to activate it?
Update: Yesterday I installed the trailer hitch and found the connector for the rear sensors. Guess it would be the same at the front.
I'm gonna look in forscan for something related to front sensors to see if there's a way to activate them.
Is it possible to enable rear camera view at speed? Guess it would be useful while towing.
Have anyone ever seen something about activating the front parking sensors? I'm going to try to activate and install it.
Also, I have some questions about the spreadsheet. What does those itens really...
I'm having trouble writing on BdyCM Module in my friend's car. I have done it many times in my own car, but on his specific vehicle every time I try to write the changes on that module I get the "Service procedure has been interrupted" message.
Any ideas?
That's actually a great idea!
But in my car, the second drive mode after NORMAL is ECO. If I disable the normal mode, wouldn't it start in ECO mode? Do I need to disable that as well?
I googled the Lariat part number "N1WZ2606202LA" and some sites already have the information that this part had been replaced by the N1WZ2606202LB, for 5x the price.
Guess the party is over and I arrived late :(
But let's be honest here, that 50 bucks was clearly wrong. I bought way smaller...
