Was it like that from day 1? I did notice that idle makes the car shake from day 1 but not as bad as it feels when the RPM drops on down shift. Its not to the point that it feels like its going to stall but its noticeable.
Hi all, I hope you are all enjoying your Gen 6 Rangers.
I've just passed 23k km on MY22 6G Ranger Wildtrak.
I have noticed recently the idle sits a bit low and shaky when the aircon is on and is especially noticeable when downshifting/slowing down.
The RPM will drop and make a small shudder...
I do actually run it mostly if not always on recirculation. I changed the cabin air filter yesterday and it seems to have improved / is going away. Not sure why/how the filter would cause it because the filter itself did not smell.
The confusing part is that the rear air vents are available in regions where the purchasing capacity is lower/there is less demand. So the cost cutting point doesn't make sense to me. Like South Africans can afford the "luxury" but Americans can't?
Whatever region has regulations that forbid rear air vents is a silly region ? But I understand what you mean and it is very possible that could be the case.
My aircon is on at all times the car is on. Does anyone know how I can fix the stale aircon issue on the next gen?
On my 4G Ranger? (T6) I had to take it to Ford and leave it there for an entire day for them to unblock an evaporator drain.
That's what they told me.
It is apparently above the...
Ford is being silly. One region gets some things the others don't and vise versa. It was a nightmare knowing what my Thai (Aus Spec) Ford was going to come with. The Aus spec does not come with the switches in the head liner yet the South African spec does but doesn't come with the high end head...
I haven't come across any that work in that way even though they most probably would be able to. All I've seen have an ACC signal cable in addition the the power leads. It definitely won't work over the USB.
Not much of a hassle anyways, its 1 additional cable to pass through the same route as...
Unfortunately. Maybe this can be changed with forscan? Though I believe parking mode requires a remote signal. So even if we could change it, it would mean the camera stays in "drive" mode and doesn't know the car has been parked.
The Ford offered options are just 3rd party dashcams.
Better off doing a bit of research and buying the best for your money.
I use the Vantrue N4 Pro as it's one of about 3 dashcams that can actually read plates at night.
And yes, there is a USB port but it is only powered when the...
I'm impressed Ford jumped into these forums to help!
This code comes up for me when my cameras are not spotless. It doesn't stay though and starts working after a clean.
Would said Ford rep be able to help me with an update? Our local Ford is sadly quite incompetent and takes lots of down...
Did you figure anything out? I believe we were supposed to get those Zone Lighting setting enabled in the settings after an update.... which I can't seem to get. Says up to date yet I know its not.
??? Foot pedal and door handle symbols ☠️
I think the cost for such bespoke tooling can be negated if the tools are used for multiple generations which seems to be Fords goal. Yes it costs more, but what cost even more is having a different part for every model.
We can learn from the Lego...
Interesting. So it's not just me. It would make sense that it's only critical parameters for the basic function of the vehicle. The rest would be custom coded per vehicle per options, region, regulations..
I too have not had to restore, and do track all changes, but would like to know if I do...
