It's all "the week of" not that specific date. My Raptor is schedule for the week of March 11th.
I also placed my order at the end of May 2023, and as a stock order. None of these "delays" have bothered me. I understand what's involved in switching over a production line and starting something...
I am well aware off it from the motorcycle side off things. Worked in motorcycle sales for a bit too.
On the BMW S1000R and RR, the primary reason for replacing the stock exhaust is purely aesthetic  they dislike how the stock cat looks under the belly. Nevermind the fact that you only gain...
I just want to know what exactly all you pro-35 people need that addition 2" of lift for?
Further more, there appears to be a lot of haphazard ideas for lifting, without taking into account legitimate engineering done to achieve the stock vehicle.
Having watched many of the "lifted" videos...
To what others have said, I think true PROFIT on the MSRP is going to be a challenge. I would approach it along the lines of retaining value for longer vs. standard Ranger. Similar to F150. While there are plenty of F150 Raptors out there, over three generations, their selling price is (on...
I fully understand price elasticity. Currently, the true cost of the vehicle to the OEM is not invoice. It is less than that. That's the discounted price to the dealer, and then invoice to MSRP is the provided profit for the dealer. The deviation between invoice and MSRP varies from OEM to OEM...
Comparing TVs and the volume therein to the automotive space doesn't track. The volume discrepancies as they relate to price are MASSIVELY different. Example: Globally, LG sold 27.3 million TVs in 2022. Ford sold 4.2 million vehicles in the same year. The largest auto OEM in the world, Toyota...
Vis-a-vis the dealer, it is a free market economy. While many people within the industry have applauded Tesla, and a handful of vocal consumers have done the same, if UAW was striking for more share of the billions earned by the Big Three...what do you think happens if OEMs are allowed to sell...
I was willing to spend $5k over sticker. I say $4k is fair. I was offered one at $10k and passed.
Ultimately, their willingness to move the unit NOW should be greater, as all inventory is starting to pile up.
I see you posted this is May, so who knows if you're still here and/or willing/able to...
As to whether or not you're the first, I cannot say...but everything else is out of their hand, as far as allocations & production. There are 2,944 Ford dealers in the US (per Google), and everyone of them wants to be a high priority with the OEM...with an average of one RR per store, not every...
You probably won't get anything from the manufacturer until the allocation flips to production and received a VIN. Otherwise, there is nothing to update you on...as production has not yet begun.
Seems like all that means is that Ford has received your dealer's request for allocation modification. You can't use that link yet anyway because production hasn't begun, so there's no VIN yet. A VIN will not be applied to an allocation until it flips to production.
Whether or not you saw such a bulletin, a friend who used to work at a Ford dealer confirmed everything you said. :like:  Apparently, this is the normal allocation process at Ford for specialty models.
And, I received confirmation of my RR from my dealer...and it shows "Type: Stock" and...
I was speaking to the Raptor specifically. But for the regular Ranger, you're probably right. MY23 was cut short because it was the out-going model, and they had to reconfigure the plant & line to handle to new one. They may also "pre-order" alot of the trims and combinations - build a good...
"Allocations" are done by model year. And given production actually not beginning until August/September, it wouldn't surprise me that MY2024 is a smaller, shorter run versus MY2025. Total production will probably correlate to some degree with demand - if there is alot of interest for the first...
Local dealer in NY is telling me anywhere from $10k to $15k markup. Supposedly they're still getting $10k over on F150 Raptor and sold a Bronco Raptor for $40k over o_O They'll know specifically what the RR markup will be when the order bank opens. I did place a deposit to hold their one...
