That's a good explanation. Maybe I will turn my OTA updates back on. As for recalls...I haven't taken my truck in for any yet. My trust level of other folks touching my vehicles is very low.
Plugged the tuner into my truck, ran through some screens, but essentially it was telling me that the device was locked. Brought it back to my PC and all my info is back. I attempted to re-flash, but the tuner said, "Not allowed or new vehicle was detected". Maybe I need a new voucher...
Well...this is concerning. I finally received some OTA updates and was trying to confirm that my FPT has not been overwritten. I plugged in my ProCal tuner into my PC and it immediately detected an update for the software. I went through the install for that, then cycled the tuner. After it...
Even if you're not mechanically inclined, I say learn as much as you can and do as much of your own maintenance as possible...just keep all your receipts and log your dates in the app. All our trucks really need until 30/60k miles is basic oil/filter changes (every 5k miles for oil...

Lol...I know. After paying $60k for a vehicle, I would like to have the choice to disable it. I've watched our beloved RR get beat at the track due to the speed limiter.
I wouldn't say blown away. It's a nice lil truck for sure, but to be blown away, I would need a few things.
1. More HP/TQ (blown coyote making 700+hp/tq would be nice)
2. No speed limiter
3. Bigger exterior difference from the other models (i.e. XL, etc)
I came from a 331 stroked 85 Mustang...
Just got off the phone with Ford Performance. He basically told me to not waste my time with the firmware updates for the tuner. He said that once the tune is loaded on the vehicle, just unplug it and forget about the tuner.
