Thinking about a 2025 2.7 Lariat in Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat.
Question: is Azure Gray a premium color, meaning you're paying for the exclusivity of the color itself, or is it a higher quality, thicker, multiple-layer paint job as well?
Thanks for any replies.
Stopped by the local Ford dealer today. The sales guy tried to tell me that people are still paying $5k-$10k over MSRP for Ranger Raptors.
I find this somewhat hard to believe. Is this true? I know another local dealer network has 4 of them on their lot(s).
To be fair, I understand people not wanting to drop $60k on a mid-size truck knowing that they might have to tear the engine down only a few short years (if that) into its life.
Yeah, I didn’t think that the 2.7 and the 3.0 were all that far apart age wise.
I wonder why port fuel injection has not made its way into the 3.0 design yet.
It's funny you mention the F-series. The fact that Ford owns both the consumer and the commercial full-size market tells me that the reliability of their trucks simply can't be bad. Is it as good as Toyota? Likely not. But there's no way it's unworkably bad.
Strangely (at least to me) a local dealer network currently has (4) Raptors in stock. I thought they were still very hard to get with long lead times and mark-ups.
These are some very helpful replies. Thanks! This is a great forum. I hope to be here long term ;)
OK, a few things:
I've been reading about some EcoBoost issues. Namely:
a submerged-belt-driven oil pump
coolant intrusion
valve seat problems
cam phaser issues
Are all of these real, and...
