I just grabbed the little pin with some pliers, it broke off clean with literally no effort. Even if you wanted to put the stock ones back it the third pin isn't going to matter AT ALL. I would be more concerned about ruining the new modules trying to drill out a hole vs just snapping that...

Wait for it…. Can confirm they fit and work as advertised. Not the easiest install but the flexible ratcheting bit drive is 100% necessary otherwise basic hand tools is all you need. I’ll have a video up in the next few days.

I got one you could have, I live in a two plate state but no way in hell am I sticking that ugly thing on the front of a good looking truck lol. I've ran all my vehicles with no front plate here in Maine over the last 10+ years and only been pulled over once - just got a warning.

Update: we had a mildly warm day up here 30ish F - I brought the truck through a touchless wash and the sound is completely gone. I’m guessing snow / ice was caught somewhere I couldn’t see ??‍♂️??‍♂️
