Putting me in the same boat with Aonarch with the 4D Tech device causing issues. Worked great for a month and then the truck started throwing errors of all kinds. The errors included Blind Spot Detection, Pre-Collision Assist Not Available, Hill Start Assist Warning, Park Aid Malfunction...
I have had them on my Ranger Raptor for a little over a year and not a scratch or ding. Lots of banging on the underside of the sliders but nothing has made it up to the body. I also have them on my Bronco (Wildtrack, Sasquatch) and the same result. Nothing has made it to the body.
1: No modifications
2: No Forscan alterations
3: No tune
4: The issue has happened twice at 35~mph, going down a slight grade. Truck indicated it was going into Rock Crawl mode. Tried changing with the knob and all it did was start cycling through modes. Shut truck down and started back up and...
I swapped out the running boards with sliders from Goat Fabrications. It gained me a couple of inches and got rid of the grabbing of my legs getting in and out. I am 6'3 and just throw my right leg on the floorboard grab the wheel with my right hand and fling myself into the seat, move the...
They used Red thread locker on mine. Used a heat gun that I have from Harbor Freight to heat the bolts and soften up the thread locker. Put it on high heat and right on top of the bolt head. Used a T-40 as I could not get a T-40plus in the head. Even then it was slow and steady to get them...
I picked up 2 USB fans off of Amazon to solve the problem. I have them in my Bronco as well. It allows the back seat passengers to get air movement so they don't throw up on the back of my head. They clip on the headrest stake.
I replaced mine with sliders from Goat Fabrications. Easier to get in an out for me 6'3" and the copilot 5'3". Here is a pic with the factory running board off and with the Goat Fab slider on. The sliders keep the rocks off and the shopping carts away.
My Raptor did the over the air update and I updated to iOS 18.2 and all seems to be working the way it should (yes this violates every rule to software upgrades). Everytime I get in and start it up now the phone connects like it is supposed to. Before it would get lost and require turning off...
I ended up selling on offer up. First time I used the app. $300 was the final price. Probably could have gotten more but time was not in my favor. Plus not willing to shop.
I don't think it is. The factory ones had Loctite (or something like it) so I just followed their lead.
I really like the look and the preservation of the backs of my legs.
And to make us all feel better about these sliders as sliders, Adam from Goat Fab reached out to me after seeing some...
Thanks for the comment. I probably should have put more emphasis on point 3 in my review - "Target shopping carts and other obstacles". :D
I will start this with I am not great at physics or geometry. Also, I worked really hard in life to afford and waited along time for this truck (like...
Hi Jason, I am guessing you are asking about the install of the Goat Fab sliders. For install there was no drilling. They bolt right into the holes where the stock running boards are bolted in. Below is the link to the write up I did for the removal of the stock running boards and install of...
I removed the 2024 Ranger Raptor Running Boards. You can have them for $400. Includes the bolts to mount them. No dents or scratches. The underside is dirty but no damage. I live in East County San Diego. No shipping.
The guys at Goat usually have a sale of some type and offer free shipping on a lot of the sales. I forgot to mention that part in my review. I got 15% off and free shipping. They tend to have a black Friday sale which is even friendlier.
