The front nonadjustable front headrests are at an odd angle and too far forward for my liking. In the winter I usually wear a felt hat with a full 2 1/2" brim which the headrest would knock off. I rotated the drivers headrest 180 degrees and problem solved.
Wish that engine was available in the US. I had a 2020 F150 with the 3.0 PS diesel and it was a towing monster. Discontinued after a 3 year run probably because it was taking away from Super Duty sales. I started getting peak performance around 6K miles
The F series is Ford's bread and butter model that is targeted at the US so it is heavily marketed here. The Range is for a global market. My dealer currently has 24 Rangers in stock and 233 F series not including commercial trucks at a seperate lot.
First road trip with the new truck. 21.1 mpg isn't great but not too bad considering the engine only has 700 miles on it and winter blend gas. I did stop for fuel about half way and hand calculated mileage was 22.8 but that may be a fluke. My old F150 2.7 usually got 22-24 mpg the same round trip.
First car wash after installing Willmoso tonneau and Keko tailgate seal. Just a little water in the rear corners after 6 passes of high pressure spray across the tailgate. Should stay dry when driving in heavy rain.
RCI in Colorado is already making kits for the Bronco so the gen 6 Ranger should be coming out soon. I've used their kits on my last 3 F150's and they produce a top quality product. The steel kits are 10 gauge and much better than OEM.
I've had my new Ranger a month and thus far have only found 2 shortcomings.
No drivers grab handle on the A pillar, I'm old and short so I need all of the help I can get
No push button to engage the rear dif locker, I drive some on wet pastures and a button on the dash or console would be...
I couldn't agree more. Here's a pix of my '52 MGTD replica in that shade. I chose Oxford White for my new Ranger because of the quarter mile of gravel to the closest hard road.
Not a chance, here in rural Missouri charge stations are few and far between. Add to that the cold winters it's just not practical. I have bought a few EV's for the grandchildren at the Walmart toy department.
I'm surprised that the Territory's did so well. My 2020 F150 had the same tires and I got stuck in a pasture with wet grass. One tire spun until I engaged 4x4 then 2 tires spun. Locking the rear axle got it moving. My new Ranger will be getting a set of Cooper's.
I installed the kit today and it took less than an hour. No interference with the tailgate dampener. The side seals will need a few warm days to form to the tailgate. Much better than the one size fits all type and well worth the few extra dollars.
When I purchased my new Ranger the 2.7 was a must have. My F150 trade in had pretty much the same drive train, 2.7 Eco/10 speed/3.73 gears, and except for some electronic glitches was trouble free.
I agree, the aftermarket CAI's are akin to flipping the air cleaner lid in decades past. The sound was cool but no performance gain. I learned the hard way the oiled gauze filters actually do more harm than good.
After a long line of F100/150's and a Ranchero I decided to downsize to a Ranger 2.7 FX4 with the basic tow package. I'm an analog guy so am still struggling with all of the digital stuff. This is my first small truck and so far it looks to be a good choice. Have added my normal accessories and...
Finished the installation of a Willmoso tonneau today. I've seen variations of this advertised under at least 3 different brand names. Once installed it functions properly and the slats don't flutter at highway speeds like the Leer Jack Rabbit on my previous truck. The instructions leave a lot...
