Just got back from running some back roads - lowered the tire pressure to 36# and was impressed with their ability to find traction. Don't feel the need for a dedicated winter tire.

It left the factory lot (7 hours south of its new home) a week ago - just in time for some wintertime fun.
Had a foot of lake effect overnight - maybe another foot today. Going to be fun getting to know each other.
Running the trails up here in N Michigan, where the sand can be deep with tree roots mingled in, popping a bead on a tire is something you don't want to experience.
Cruising the malls - it's bling.
A decal cut to fit the mirror profile in a reflective material would prevent this from happening.
