I have an XLT with all the bells and whistles possible for this trim (Roughly 50k with taxes).
It has no push button start (yet countless other vehicles have it standard).
I would love to know Ford's reasons for doing this.
Is there really substantial savings there? Are these sourced in...
This always makes me think of the time I was driving into Philadelphia (I76) and saw a guy driving while eating out of a bucket of KFC. One hand wheel, one hand drumstick, and he had the bucket on his lap.
I guess sometimes you're hungry??!!
I am running my 2.7 with 91+ and a 20 ounce bottle of Chevron Techron every oil change.
I know people will say I am wasting my money and snake oil yada yada.
My last car (Honda) had clogged fuel injectors after only a few years of ownership. I also don't live near a good Top Tier fuel gas...
It would be nice if some online reviewer would do some kind of comparison. My Ranger's suspension is more improved than other trucks I have owned. It would be interesting if there is a good discernible difference.
Sync 5 - Probably a good idea, technology marches on.
More soft touch interior on XL, XLT - My '25 XLT trim doesn't bother me in this regard, but alright.
Co-Pilot360 2.5 ("updates in detection range and lane-keeping assistance") - Ok I guess.
Potential hybrid at some later date in 2026 (I'm...
I don't disagree. Many people mistake my Ranger for an F150 so the styling is more on par with that "look."
As for the rust, I am not too concerned. I had owned an '87 Toyota pickup truck and it was rusty everywhere underneath but still was a good reliable truck.
Yep I had mine ordered with them ($215).. Worth it if you are a shorter person like me. Also I like it better than the Chevy bumper half steps and I believe it is anchored to the frame.
It has been about 1 month since I have taken home my 2.7 V6 2025 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 w/Blackout Package.
Pros -
1. This truck really moves out on the highway. Has a lot more power beyond 55.
2. Found out it has directional lighting depending on the steering direction.
3. The seats are super...
I have a Bak Revolver X4s installed. I have a little leaking at the front corners and rear tailgate, but it doesn't seem due to the tonneau cover. The tailgate has no seals and from the looks of it, there seem to be holes to the outside in the front corners in the bed.
I had went with a hard roll up (Bak Revolver X4s). I just wanted more visibility out the rear and the only downside is it is either completely open or completely closed.
I have been loving my 2.7 XLT Ranger so far at around 800 miles. I may get a break in oil change at 1000 miles (I know I am an old man). The only thing I worry about is when to get the Wet Timing belt replaced maybe at 80k?
