Ford's QC issues have been goin on for at least 5 years. Here's a wingless 2019 GT350R the dealership was trying to sell me over MSRP. The rear seat delete panel wasn't installed either. The OEM carbon fiber wing runs about $10k to replace. The rear seat delete panel about $1.2k. Ya, this...
That's a nice tonneau cover. The roll-up style is definitely on my radar for my RR. But the main drawback of roll up covers is that they don't have the same strength and security as some harder covers, but they still have a sleeker design and can generally give better access to your bed...
Double sealed weather striping isn't new. My 2016 Colorado LT 4x4 has it. The drivers door does require a slightly little more push too. The Ranger weather striping might be more robust. Who knows...1st world problems.
A lot of people wanted a Shelby too...right before they had to write the check. A lot of new units sat on the floor. As I said the challenge will be finding the right deal.
I've heard that MAP is building at a 10% blend rate of RR. About 100 a day. I hope that it's true and it continues.
I stick to the manufacturer-specified oil to avoid any warranty hassle. I just don't trust dealerships to do anything to be honest. Especially when I'm capable of doing it.
Oh and that's excellent info on the license plate bracket. I was always worried that some dumba$$ tech was going to...
Nice video. I like to perform my own oil/filter maintenance. It looks like you need to remove a skid plate to get to the oil drain plug and filter. But we couldn't really get a feel for where they are located. Would have been nice to see where the oil fill cap is located. Have you tried to...
INCORRECT. Features like the auto start/stop and skip shift has everything to do with fuel consumption mandates and the improvement of vehicle fuel economy. The specific ways a manufacturer choose to go about meeting the fuel consumption requirements vary. But those specific ways/features...
Ya the Voodoo is a finicky motor. I did the same thing with my 350R with the exception of changing the oil to conventional. Who makes 5w50 conventional? Anyway I changed it at 1k for the R and 1100 for the 500. The R used less than 1/2 a qt between 4k mile oil changes. Oil usage isn't an...
Pretty generic. I've had the good fortune of breaking a few new high performance motors. They all had their specific nuances but one constant has always been to vary the speed/gears early on and not to lug the motor. No towing under 1k miles is pretty standard across the Big 3 with trucks.
Austin, San Antonio, Houston, DFW, Amarillo, etc. Those city areas all suck balls on prices. Went thru this ADM BS when ordering my 22 GT500. Found a dealer 4 hours away for MSRP. Search small dealerships in east and west TX.
