Galvanic corrosion is why I'm hesitant to put aluminum skid plates on my RR. I don't know if that's what your experiencing, but you might want to research it.
My wife's Ranger Raptor has the same thing. And the hood would not shut with a drop. Warranty work. Dealer sent it to a reputable body shop and all is well.
I'm not exactly sure what size they are. I found the wheels online and called Belle Tire to see if they could order these for me and put them on when they arrive. It turned out they could. They are the ones who looked up what size thread I needed and ordered them with the wheels. This particular...
I asked the same question on several of these threads with no luck. So I just now asked Google, and Google used whatever AI system it does on Android, and this is what it gave me.
That's pretty much what I thought all along. I still don't know if this is correct. Because AI can lie to you...
Agreed ! Not good for any starter or engine. That's why my "R" Raptor button is set to Sport, 4A, Normal shocks and I use it everytime I take off with my truck. No need for ASS eliminator for me.
This is what AI said about it.
The starter motor in a Ford Ranger Raptor is designed to handle the increased number of starts and stops
The auto start-stop system may not shut off the engine if the battery is charging, the engine is warming up, or if the air conditioning or heat is being used.
Yeah, a lot of people on this forum were having issues with the "R" button at one time, but I was still learning the basics about my RR. Sounds like FoMoCo fixed the issue. Just like a bunch of people who were complaining about our front left bumper sensor going off for no apparent reason...
I use sport 4A because I'm an aggresive driver. But sport 2H on the highway unless it'sslippery, then sport 4A as well. I to would like to know if 4A is hard on your diffs like an F-150 in 4H is when driving 60 mph on dry pavement.
Sorry my friend, I didn’t mean to mislead you. I keep mine in sport mode and 4A because it's very easy for me to spin the rear tires and wear them out while I'm getting used to a truck with this much power. I agree with gmpetrie.
