Hood fitment issues?

While waiting on my 2025 Velocity Blue order, I've been looking around to see if I can find any new 2024 Velocity Blue that I might be able to get a good deal on.

We'll I've found 3, and all 3 have severe hood fitment issues... how common is this?

1: Hood sits way too low and is not aligned at the headlights.


2 and 3 both have huge gaps on the right side of the hood.

I asked dealer 3 and they tried to fix the issue but it's not great still

My bronco came the same way the hood sit lower than the fenders , but I just fixed it easy. I opened the hood and twisted the little rubber stoppers in the front of the hood , close the hood and it’s perfect easy Fix.

My dealer had my 1st choice color with the hood out of alignment. They refused to fix it, not sure if they lose money somehow but I moved on to the second choice that was fine

My dealer had my 1st choice color with the hood out of alignment. They refused to fix it, not sure if they lose money somehow but I moved on to the second choice that was fine
Ford needs to take a look at the hood fitment guy in their factory...

Mine looked almost idenical to the blue truck pics above (even same color), ended up loosening the fender bolts on both sides and adjusted away. Had to adust my hood latch too, had to slam it to shut all the way.
Anyhow looks much better but still not perfect.. some serious WTF on a $60k truck.
I have little faith in dealers and really wouldnt go unless its some sort of huge warranty
issue where theres no choice . I dont even trust em to do an oil change, too many horror stories out there.

^sad but true. I cringe every time I’m forced to leave my rides. If you can best thing is to shoot the breeze and get to know the service team. They tend to take care of me better

Every manufacturer has never made a perfect vehicle from the very beginning till now. That tiny bit of adjustment on the hood is nothing compared to how vehicles used to leave the factory. I thought I answered this in another post of yours? ?

Yea, only go to an independent shops, they'll never have incompetent techs guaranteed.

This is common, and I had my local dealer's body shop sort it out free of charge, (and they did the latch adjustment which was a TSB or CEP that was released). I purchased out of state since local dealers had no allocations left and most NW dealers were charging the Raptor ADM tax.

They had to adjust driver's side fender to get gaps corrected. I had already adjusted the stoppers myself to get height even, but gaps were way off.

As common as my son's Mustang GT which had a bad rear deck lid misalignment. It was just manufactured in December. I had the dealer re-align as best they could.

My wife's Ranger Raptor has the same thing. And the hood would not shut with a drop. Warranty work. Dealer sent it to a reputable body shop and all is well.
